Sorry I dont hate everyone its a real bad habit i picked up off new labour. nu labour, the saps that created the mess Social meddlers create more evil than straightforward selfish Tories. You know where you are with Tories. Except the Tories are no longer Tory. Nu labour was the point at which labour turned on their own people. If you want to know what they think about us, ordinary beer drinking, sun reading folk, look at Rotherham council. Look at the way football fans are treated, vs other public order offenses which aren't almost exclusively sun reading white van men. Nu labour hate people people like us, as do the Tories, and the rest of the political class. It's about righting the wrongs of discrimination by actively harming and putting down the host or empowered community, while promoting minority interests which were previously marginalised. You can see this through the way public services are funded, the anti real education agenda. Look at educational results and it's apparently evidence of how lazy white boys are (not how they aren't educated properly). On the other hand, lower average pay for women is all about "society". The jaded collectivists who run our 3 party political party will never move out of the 60s and 70s mindset of who or what is oppressed. They're still stuck in the civil rights movement and can't see the wood from the trees.

A fabulous iteration of all that is wrong with the mindset of a group of people caught in never ending repitition of under achievement, personally and professionally. But said from the heart with passion. Pity we cannot debate it oj this forum as it is a true reflection of the mindset of the rovers fanbase who accept mediocrity and somebody else thinking for them and paying for their entertainment.

But said from the heart with passion. Pity we cannot debate it oj this forum as it is a true reflection of the mindset of the rovers fanbase who accept mediocrity and somebody thinking and paying for their entertainment. Sadly Oldie that kind of discussion which would be well placed within a "serious or current affairs section" always used to reduce to name calling and people slagging each other off. Both you and I and others have been impacted by that. I have been on holiday and missed the deletion of the CA section. I had stopped posting after being called a liar by someone once they had lost their argument claiming incorrectly that I had deliberately misquoted him. It had become much as has been described earlier and very little actual discussion or debate took place with most postings eventually turning into mud slinging name calling competitions or propaganda rants. To be honest I became totally ambivalent about it and to whether it was right or wrong to delete it. My only thought was whether it was needed on a football forum.. One thing I would point out is that as far as I am aware none of the admin or moderators are legal experts and some of the postings had wandered into very dodgy areas. The issue of naming people who had been involved in so called paedophile rings, whether they were or not, would have serious consequences for those that run the forum. And believe me so called celebrities have people trawling the internet to protect their interests, even small football forums. "Ignorance of the law is no excuse" is a legal principle and admin would not be protected by their not fully understanding relevant legal principles or current case law. With regard to the original thread that was deleted ~ which I never read due to being away ~ I understand that in other social media such as Facebook that threads related to the individual had become quite nasty and had erred into areas that would be extremely upsetting for those who had lost a family member. Whilst I understand that the thread had stayed above that type of posting it is a very delicate balance and fine line that the moderators would tread especially if it descended into the morass of claims and counter claims about the individual. To some he was simply a well liked Gashead but to others the spawn of the devil. It may be that the moderator moved too quickly but these types of threads can go down hill quite fast. Do the moderators/admin have time to react to prevent either a legal breach or prevent something offensive being written. It is a very thin line.... I see that every thread about this issue has now turned into a current affairs type thread..... I think all of us need to take a step back, calm down and realise that actually to all of us the most important thing on a football forum should be the football team. And there is a wealth of things to occupy us there! Regards Cheshire

To the tune of Engelbert Humperdinck, Please Release Me (for those too young: ) Please delete me, let me go For I don't love you anymore To waste my life would be a sin So delete me and let me love again
Please delete me can't you see You'd be a fool to cling to me To live a life to bring us pain So delete me and let me love again
Let me love Let me go
Seriously bladder, as I've said, stay. This thread, though, is now way off beam and not really Rovers related.

Zfc you are entitled to your opinion but not agreeing with it does not make me a leftie or a race card player. I just find your comments immature and embarressing. There is no need to have that stuff on a football forum just go chat on the bnp web forum or ukip or something. Its just not relevant to BRFC So if you are unhappy with the spread of Islam and its backward culture you should join the BNP or UKIP? So only right wingers are opposed to Islam? Time to wake up and get in the real world dinsdale!! I despair when this ordure rears it's ugly head. I remember standing on the tote end when NF was ever present and also how I was then attacked,by my so called mates, because they could not find their intended targets so I was seen as fair game as the Son of Poles. There really is no place for it IMO on ANY decent forum and I am stunned that the mods have not at least warned those who are involved. No good can come of this at all and all it will do is fragment and had the potential to end badly. Come on mods, don't let this go on please.

I have only been on this forum around 3-4 Months so I have not really seen any evidence of that, unless you take onboard what posters such as Nurse Wratched ( Paul Seaton) say. Over to you, you have been here much longer than I. Do you feel their are favourites who are allowed more leeway ?

It depends very much on your perception KP, but I will say that it may well be more difficult to spot now that the Current Affairs section has been closed down. As you say I have been a contributor to this forum (and the old forum) for quite some time now, and consequently my observations are at a more advanced stage than someone like yourself, who has only recently joined our happy band. Perhaps we'll have the same conversation in say, six months time when you have had more of an opportunity to acclimatise yourself.

Perhaps Forum members can see now why we wanted to remove that section of the forum. Sorry but my time is very limited at the moment and I refuse to run around in circles.

If that post was aimed at me oxon, and there is no doubt in my mind that it was, perhaps you might explain to me why you appear to be offended by what I posted? I was asked a perfectly reasonable question by KP, which I answered as fully as I could without (hopefully) causing offence to anyone. But when you state in your post ''Perhaps Forum members can see now why we wanted to remove that section of the forum,'' then frankly I can't, basing that upon my post. Furthermore I don't know exactly what you mean by your reply, but as your time is limited I don't expect (or necessarily want) a reply from you. Kind regards.

Perhaps we'll have the same conversation in say, six months time when you have had more of an opportunity to acclimatise yourself. I look forward to it. I can say that the perceived differences between this and gaschat are minimal if most allowed themselves an unbiased view. I enjoy both forums but I will say that you need a thicker skin to join in here. I found the first month difficult but then, it's no different to meeting new people in the 3D world and it takes time to get to know people in anycase. There is good and bad in all of us I guess just that it is much easier to make a spiteful comment on a forum than it is in a face to face situation. I try my best to make comment as I would if the person was in my company although that was not always the case. One thing that helped me was when the fans forum had meet ups. It makes for an altogether different experience when you know the person who you are posting at. Maybe this forum could arrange an informal meet for a few scoops and a chinwag ? Just an idea. I would certainly enjoy meeting many of the older posters on here as I have always enjoyed talking about the club before I was born. I wish I could have seen the likes of Alfie Biggs and George Petherbridge.

Im against extremism of all kinds but not all muslims preach hate. I just dont want a society where people control peoples religious beliefs and thoughts.
I do think anyone coming to the uk should sign up to our values and culture on crime, equality and where people promote or act in a way that compromises that they should be removed. Like a licence.
All good people deserve a fair shot at life

Perhaps Forum members can see now why we wanted to remove that section of the forum. Sorry but my time is very limited at the moment and I refuse to run around in circles. I think maybe the admins have missed a point. Back when the alternative forum started up a lot of political discussions and circular arguments used to crop up in the football section. It's bound to happen, a forum is just like chatting with your mates down the pub, topics divert in strange directions. As such people complained, there were plenty of people who just wanted to read about football and didn't really want to read about various economic theories or the origins of conflict in the Middle East. The cry at the time was, "Give them a place where they can spout off without bothering the rest of us". And so the, "serious stuff" section was born. By removing the "current affairs" section I think you may not have got rid of the problems of libellous postings, etc. just simply moved them back to a place where they are even less welcome. There are already the old arguments creeping back in here.

There are already the old arguments creeping back in here. I think that's right. Perhaps we, as members, should take some responsibility here. For example ZFC, who for the record I have met, makes quite awful statements about some ethnic groups, we should just ignore it. In that way it will be a single post which will fade into history.
