Thanks for that. Do you know if the £100k is still ringfenced? I imagine it is. Sorry Ann, I'm not sure on that point. PP Looking through this morning - there is approx £50k listed as 'Investments'. And approx £100k listed under 'Bank and Cash'. My thinking is that perhaps the £100k is the ringfenced money? But I would have expected the figures to be reversed if that was the case so it's a bit of a puzzle. Any thoughts or insight?

Personally I’m cautiously optimistic about a reformed supporters club. Remembering we are supporting the club, not the individuals running it. The supporters club shouldn’t be there to tell the emperor his clothes look great. Ken Masters and Jim Chappell left in a blaze of fury, I’d be interested to know why the respected broadcaster Brian Seymour smith left the scene. I know people have said before if you’re not there supporting B***** you are not a true fan. I now genuinely believe it is the other way round It's probably 3 years now since Seymour-Smith abandoned ship, and as far as I'm aware nobody has seen or heard of him since? From memory, when he went he was saying stuff about not being invited to meetings etc. I would have thought that he could have retained the position and argued his case, or maybe stepped down and then sought re-election with the issues front and centre, so that pressure was put on the club to ratify his election based on his manifesto?

Of course, it's possible that he saw where the SC was heading and wanted no part of it? He used to pop on here occasionally and post, maybe now that no harm can come of telling it as it actually was he could let us all know what really went on?

So, where id the extra money come from for 176K to be plundered ? Angas @isaachunt ANYTHING.ANYTHING AT ALL ? Sorry KP - only just had time to sift through the various years to try to make sense of it all. This may have been answered already, but from looking this morning there were three separate bank accounts. The bulk of the money seems to have come from the Current/Premium Business account (£150k). Smaller amounts were taken from the Lottery Bank a/c (£10k) and the Business Rate Tracker a/c (£16k). Many thanks Angas. The 150K figure is interesting

What stands out, for me could be should be other clubs 10K subs Steve, you are obviously versed in such things so why not either present this to TG and/or Wael and get it going ? I am not being sarcastic in saying this but i do not believe we would get close to 10K Subs mate. As i have previously said, we have many talkers but few doers and i included myself in that. Given that we are probably looking into the worst winter than most have ever known in their lifetimes, i think people will be rapidly in the middle of a rationalisation program and will be looking to make savings, i certainly am and i am preparing for what could be coming, buying tinned foods, calour gas heaters and gas and even candles. Anyway, i digress, i do no think that now is the best of times to believe that we would get close to the numbers you talk of but, as i have said, prove me wrong. If we were winning games and had a managers that was popular, engaged with fans and didn’t just offer up excuse after excuse, i think you could even do it and prove me wrong, i think if something like this were implemented during the run in to our 2nd promotion, we could even do this and even get higher figures that you quote BTW YouTube premium is not free to watch, as you well know but i quoted iFollow as an example because it would be the true supporter who pays for it, we all know ways of getting past paying for premium content but i shall leave it there. I do wish you good luck should you try something though. The current offical BRFC channel has 11.5k subscribers. The channel has had over 7.3 million views across all its content videos. To put it into perspective, Bradford who are the biggest team in the league have just over 6m views to their content videos and they are the biggest club in this league. Thats pretty decent. The subscribers are nearly double our average attendance which is generating money for the club already. If you had another supporters club which had the same subscribers you would have another passive income stream. I would be happy to help co-ordinate the ideas and structure but my skillset isnt in the behind the camera (I'm probably too old at 40 for the younger demographic it would be aimed at) and I dont know how to record, edit and tweek it to the standard that it would be needed for YT. That's why my companies facebook and instagram followers are pretty low and need addressing. During lockdown I took a few online seminars about the power of social media and why content should be created and uploaded regularly. I have 2 youtube content creators as customers, one of them being shmee150, who has over a million follwers over 2 channels. He has given me some insight into how and why it should be done and how he does it, but he also devotes his whole life to it where he is constantly on the road filming, investing in new products as well as ensuring he is releasing 4-5 videos a week. Ive started discussions with an outside company to help me with this as its way above my capability in terms of creating the content. It is also about time. My business interests take most of that up and im also a father to a 3 year old so its in short supply to do all i want to do but I could certainly help where I could. I know and have met shmee at vmax 200, at bruntingthorpe. Can’t say that it was an enjoyable experience and he will never give a straight bat answer as to where he gets his money.

I dont know the deal with the fans directors, but ai would have thought given the time elapsed it would be sensible to open up for any new nominations and have a ballot as and when necessary. We have been without for so long a few extra weeks would hardly be a big deal. As for the EC i can understand what they have done. They can co-opt the positions they have, but they need to be elected/ratified at the AGM. No reasons that shouldnt happen Agreed with the first point, but would add, didn't Wael say something about the BoD now being much smaller than previously, so he felt it inappropriate for the SC to hold 2 positions with such a small share holding, or something along those lines? In relation to the second point, Co-Opting should, in my opinion, only be an emergency measure. Directors should be elected. Given the apparant desire of the SC to self destruct in recent years I would suggest that a good starting point for them would be to send a ballot paper to every Share Scheme contributor that they hold records for. That not only gives the result a feeling of legitimacy, it will also re-engage some people with the next chapter of SC activity. Yes, I think that Wael did say something about one position for the FC on the Board being sufficient under the new structure.

By working hard Jools. I’ve seen the inside line of how hard he works and it’s not as rock and roll as the it seems. He earns his money from paid content from social media platforms, plus sponsorship, endorsements, advertising and by being very clever at playing the algorithm. He did a very good interview with the late brake show (another YouTube podcast where he went into it in depth).

The 150K figure is interesting I might have misunderstood your initial question. I thought you were asking where the extra £26k came from. Not so sure now that you weren't asking about the £150k - which was mostly from the sale of 199.

There is a signed legal agreement in place for 2 positions so hopefully they can come to an agreement rather than another war of words breaking out over it.

Open Letter June 2020 - "The process of capitalising the debt, will be completed through an issue of new shares in each company. This will have a diluting affect on the % shareholding held by the Supporters Club. However, I want to make it clear that despite this, it doesn’t change anything in terms of their entitlement to have a Director on the Board should they wish to nominate a suitable candidate." www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2020/june/letter-to-supporters-wael-al-qadi/Could it be that Wael considers Col Gibson now fills one of the positions? "His role as an independent, non-executive Director will see added transparency at the Board level, with Chris taking on a liaison role with various Supporter's groups ensuring fans voices can be heard at the top level." www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2021/june/chris-gibson-appointed/

But, as said previously, if Masters behaved in the boardroom as he did when I spoke to him, and as he did during that interview when him and Hamer spoke to a supporter, I honestly wouldn't blame Wael for 1 second for not wanting him around. However, all of that is history, Masters is gone, any new supporters' representative shouldn't be judged on the performance of previous incumbents. The issue for me now is that the SC have put forward 2 candidates without holding a ballot. Let's see what our new SC Chairman does next.

No he doesn't meet the criteria. But Wael refers to "a director". Does he think he can slip Col Gibson into the post without us noticing, is what I wondered.
Maybe it was just a slip of the pen in that open letter ...

Maybe it was just a slip of the pen in that open letter ... I knew what you meant Ann, and agree with your suspicion. Of course nobody here is cynical enough to notice....
