Do you think that MKD didn't play on the 29th, the same as us? They made 1 change from the starting 11, so why would we be any more tired than them? Apart from us having no game plan, so we are chasing the ball all over the pitch. MKD are playing Lewington, he's closer to 40 than 30 and still managed an assist against us today. BTW, it's they're, not their. Thanks for pointing out a grammatical error you pedantic twat.It was a spelling error, not a grammatical one

I know it is de rigeur for managers of top teams to play weakened teams in cup games. Lincsblue however, has taken it to a whole new level !

Copa Libertadores group stage fixtures confirmed, looks like there's potential for; 10/03 Boca vs TBC 11/03 River vs Binacional 18/03 Racing vs Nacionale Over the weekend we'll be looking for games in either BA or Montevideo. I may have to add Argentine to my pension pot blow out! I had a change of plan yesterday and chose Linlithgow Rose v Blackburn United instead of ticking Airdrie off, 4-1 home win in a lovely little ground, I chose well

I'm going for a Wimbledon 2-0 win with the anti Coughlan brigade claiming it was much more enjoyable than winning every week

Did Cureton get 4 at Reading in the 6-0? Edit: Or maybe Carl Saunders in the 5-0 FA Cup game against Plymouth. Another edit: Maybe I should read the question properly

“Football Under Coughlan was often dire‘ Yet rarely have gas heads felt so positive and excited at Christmas. What could be said of the kick off set up being negative has brought all sort of joy and excitement the last couple of months. Do we really want Ben to switch to a 4 2 3 1 with flying wingers in the next couple of weeks? What was notcible against posh and muff compared to earlier in season was the zip and pace to our play especially from the starting whistle, so maybe it was nt the formation or players that got Cocko the deadly football tag, just the time needed for the strategy to bed and confidence to tick up? So were you at the Southend game when we could have been 4 down at half time, the home cup games when we never really looked like controlling the game. Bolton when we were well beaten. ..Most supporters I know could not understand how we were 4th. And now people are putting pressure on new manager saying if we go down the league it's all his fault! I was at those games. Southend, we tore apart in the second half and won, the cup games we got through to the next round and yes Bolton was awful and we lost (one of only 5 league games we have lost this season) Coughlan was a good manager for us, the fact that some supporters 'could not understand how we were 4th' says more about them than it does about the manager at the time. Time will tell if Garner will be a good appointment, for his sake I hope the fans decide they like him, because we seem to have a large part of our support who make up their mind about a manager and stick with that opinion contrary to all the evidence staring them in the face.

Ben Garner strikes me as a 'man with a plan' regarding his career, so in that respect I don't think he will be here long if he is successful. My prediction is that he will get us into the play offs and then leave to go over the river when Lansdown finally loses patience with Lee Johnson. Are you fishing Rex? 🎣 My tongue was only slightly tongue in cheek. He is obviously a very career minded bloke and I'm sure he won't be falling in love with any club but want's to get as high as he can, which lets face it, he won't with us. I think he may well be okay for us, I just don't think he will be around long.

Absolutely fantastic 0-0. We deserved that point. Tony Craig is an absolute rock. Graham who? I mentioned Tony Craig earlier. He really was a brilliant signing in retrospect. The way he organises, does his job, and is bringing on the youngsters around him - all credit to him. My personal POTS so far. This must be the first season in years when we have several genuine candidates .

I'm sure there will be compensation, not that the fans will notice as it will just fall into the deep black hole,

I will reach the grand old age of 55 this month , the magic number at which you can take out a chunk of your pension- a trip to Fiorentina is on the cards for me! What dates? Plenty of double potential round there. Pain in the arse getting tickets though, DM me and I'll give you the lowdown. Not sure of the dates yet, I shall have to wait until I have the pension pot in my hand!

I think the way he went about it was very poor but the end result here was inevitable. We got him on the cheap. His stock his now high. He asked for more money. The board said no way, FFP and you signed a contract. Mansfield offered him more money and also closer to home. I expect he had also already asked for more money for players in Jan. The board had said FFP, we'll be selling first. According to Starnes this was not the case. He said that Coughlan had not expressed any concerns about the resources made available to him. He took the job in the full knowledge it was subject to tight financial constraints.
He calculated implying a lack of support would make him look better in the eyes of the fans, and was in this respect correct, as a number of fans picked this stick up and began to beat the Al-Qadis with it. Starnes did not mention any request for an improved contract. The issue is what he said in the interview. He was in a hole and dug himself deeper. I'm with Mandy Rice-Davies on this one.

I was at the Blue Diamond club lunch and he never mentioned selling any players let alone 4 Thanks for posting that. I have no doubt our board have absolutely zero interest in anything other than their own pockets, but it is very unhelpful when people post what is often referred to as 'fake news' these days it is very unhelpful. I may well lead a campaign to ban the term 'fake news' and have it replaced by the original term 'lies'.

I was so pleased after Saturday's win, I had planned on going to the game, but it was our works Xmas do. Our place is pretty much all Gas, so we were just looking at our phones for confirmation of the final whistle and when it was confirmed it put us in a very good frame of mind for the rest of the night. When I saw the news on Sunday morning, I don't think I have ever felt so flat as a Rovers fan- and I'm including the various relegations in that. The fact that we have a manager who has taken us to 4th in the league who is leaving (or even considering it) to go to a club who are 18th in the division below, suggests to me that the club is in a perilous state (well, that and the laughable bulls**t that emanates from the boardroom). We need a knight in shining armour- and quick.
