I think he was one of the guys involved in The Welly meetings Rex. Does that narrow it down any further for you? I wasn't at the meetings. well I'm sure I must have bumped into him from the sounds of it and it seems it was my loss not knowing him as a friend, my condolences to all those who knew him as one.

I cant say I knew him, but when I see threads like this, I always think that I must have seen him about. Would anyone have a pic they can post of Bernard if that isn't considered inappropriate? I used to see him and give him a nod at the top of the East Terrace, leaning on the railing directly across from the turnstiles. Any help? I'm Blackthorn End meself, so not really. I just feel sure that as he had been going for years 9and a Glos fan as well) he was probably one of those blokes you see about and give the knowing nod to. Sad news anyway.

Quite entertaining, but other than Nicholson's shot that the keeper spilled in the first half, there weren't many strangled cries of 'gooallnnoooo' from here in Hanham.

What on earth was Kilgour doing there. you blaming killer? There was still a lot for Posh to do, and they did it well, you don’t stop those. on balance of play we can feel hard done by, we have been on it against another quality opponent, and we have been easy on the eye. not that I am knocking Hanlon, but as a team we lack cutting edge. Absolutely! Do you think that was a sensible challenge to make?

Quite an entertaining first half and at least we do seem to be giving it a bit of a go. I thought Peterborough should have already been a couple up before they scored though, Dembele should certainly have taken at least one of two clear chances and I thought they should have scored when the guy had one deflected for a corner, Crazy lunge by Kilgour that allowed Dembele to set up their goal, which admittedly was one hell of a strike. Pleasantly surprised by how attack minded we are and by having no problems whatsoever with i-follow

For me tonight. I'm not much of a fan of watching football with no crowd, and I have heard some pretty horrific reports about I-follow, but I thought I'd give it a go- don't let me down Rovers! It has become a tradition that first timers buy the beer so when you are ready I'll have a pint of Bateman's Triple XB and a bag of smokey bacon crisps if you can run to it ? You aren't in my bubble

In the prized drinking and singing in the pub stakes... The Irish Rover is second only to Sally Maclannane. IMHO.

How dare you say anything negative about Garner's free flowing, attacking, easy on the eye football that has brought us 5 or 6 wins in 10 months. they haven’t played this much hoof ball in their better performances this season. Apologies in advance if you weren’t trying to say yesterday matches hoof ball is typical of all their play this season, groiny. You do admit though, performances and results a lot more credible this season from last? To be fair, it would have been nigh on impossible not to see an improvement given last season's results!

GC - the most unpopular successful manager we ever had! GC created a crap vibe for the majority, and our view of success is unfortunately skewed by the lack of it. At least we had some fun under Holloway and Clarke. I thought the whole winning against clubs we weren't supposed to was quite fun as well.

The lady doing the draw really struggled for a bit, and didnt even pick up on the DC warsaw/rovers link. Yes, great obs especially as she was hired to host our end of season awards two years running. She had a mare at the start!
She did get the Grimsbury manager correct though.. I did wonder if it was her- I recognised the voice. Have to say she did a very good job at the Rovers awards, she did have a bit of a mare last night though!
