I don't believe NH. The two main reasons I don't believe him. 1. Previous history of being conservative with the truth (I'll avoid the word "lie" - as I know how keen certain people are to threaten a legal action). Any season-ticket-holders want to pick their seats at Cheltenham - you know the ground NH knew we weren't even going to? And remember the "We will have a root and branch review of the club to ensure that past mistakes will not be repeated blah blah blah" etc etc. 2. Absolutely nothing has been communicated by NH or the Board regarding the mythical Plan B. So it either doesn't exist, or (and here is where I admit there is a tiny chance it may actually exist) - NH and the Board hold the fans in such utter contempt that they cannot bring themselves to update them about the future of the Club. We're just the suckers who pay £20 to stand on a concrete terrace behind the goal and keep the club alive. We just don't count. Yeah.Picking our season tickets at Cheltenham was a complete con'.When asked why the Mem hadn't been demolished to make way for the new build (pre UWE) we were told it was to give the players somewhere to meet before games????We were then informed it was postponed due to economic downturn although at no point had any contractors actually been named. That was a right load of nonsense. After the first 2 sentences why did you start talking absolute s**t?

Damn we're getting good at these appeals. Anyone checked the Mansfield forum to see how the decision has gone down?

Superb stuff, Matty Taylor was our best striker last season and is proving to be the same this season, the amount of stick he gets is criminal. If Matty Taylor is crap, then i dread to think how you would describe the rest of our strikeforce. Yet again DC showing what a quality manager he is. [br Did you him play today?

Phew, wait until we play Notts Cheaters I'd start doing you're research now. One of the sacred pleasures of being a football fan is being able to have an unjustifiable hatred of any team you like. And I'll be bollocked if any PC, hand wringing do-gooder is going to tell me otherwise. Have you have many of us PC, hand wringing do-gooders tell you that you can't have an unjustifiable hatred of a football team? Do you mean actually talk to PC hand ringing do-gooders? I'd leave halfway through the conversation

Been away for a few days so not had a chance to respond. I think I might have misrepresented myself, when I said go down, I purely meant get beaten on the day. Actually on the last day I could not make the match, I was away on a long weekend, planned when I anticipated a mid table finish. It rates as the second worst weekend of my life. The classic car I was in overheated twice, on the Friday it got taken away on a low loader from Cheshire. The upshot was I had to share with another mate, he has a significantly more cramped but exotic Cobra. Regretfully on the Saturday lunchtime that got side swiped and the wing crushed, whilst we were driving, he was not happy. To make matters worse, he is a BCFC season ticket holder and I had to sit in a bloody garden centre, near Mansfield, with him huddled round a mobile phone with 5 other friends listening to us get relegated.. I don't wish Mansfield any ill will, I am just reminded of that weekend every time I hear the word Mansfield, I am hoping to exorcise that ghost by beating them tomorrow. After that I will be quite happy to see them promoted with us. Here's another reason for drawing a line under history and focusing on tomorrow's game. Of the eighteen-man Mansfield squad at the Mem in May 2014, only three appeared in the Mansfield squad in 2015 in their last game (the 3:0 win over Newport County). Jamie McGuire is the only one who played both games in full. Jack Thomas was a non-playing sub in 2014, but started the game against Newport last week. He was replaced by Chris Clements, who had also stayed on the bench at the Mem in May 2014. In contrast, five of the Rovers squad against Mansfield in May 2014 were in the squad in our last League game, at Morecambe: Steve Mildenhall, Ollie Clarke, Tom Lockyer, Mark McChrystal and Tom Parkes. None of the Mansfield squad against Newport figured in the eighteen that faced Rovers at Field Mill in October 2013.

Would seem to make complete sense to change to a 12:30 KO on Saturday rather than a Friday evening. Common sense and football in the same sentence - that doesn't happen often. But I would disagree with the statement "It’s not as if the majority of football fans give two hoots about rugby anyway". I'll definitely be watching the RWC Final and most football fans I know will be doing the same. I'll be in the small away support at the Abbey regardless. Only 30 minutes up the M11 for me :-) Let's put it this way... If the Cambridge game kicked off at 3pm do you imagine Rovers' away support would have been greatly affected by a Rugby World Cup final which didn't include England in it. I like rugby but if I had the choice I would still be going to the Abbey Stadium to roar on DC's men and I think plenty of others would too. Personally home or away I'd have been watching the RWC final so wouldn't have watched any game of football at 3pm

What's always amazed me about the pie debate is why people can't last 90 minutes without eating. Do you all make regular trips to the fridge throughout the night?

Fully support this move and wish other clubs would do the same. Drunken idiots frequently ruin my match day experience. Why can't people just turn up and watch the game? Good luck surviving to clubs if they don't want fans who have had 3 or 4 pints before a game.

I think part of the reason for Gibraltar existing as a football team is to create more history to have onside
even if its not aimed at footballing goals
. . . and the other part is surely to get up the nose of Spain, who have reacted so badly to the formation of Gibraltar's national team that they have refused permission for their home fixtures to be played in Spain. Instead they play their home games in Portugal. Returning to purely football matters, I was surprised that Jake Gosling wasn't given a run-out last night. After all he is their all-time top scorer, but with 12 subs to choose from their manager must have been spoiled for choice. And gutless UEFA agreed to manipulate the draw so that Gibraltar and Spain weren't drawn in the same group. UEFA usually reserve this manipulation for countries engaged in armed conflict. Hope Platini goes to jail with Blatter.

Please educate me, can anyone buy shares in BRFC? If so do you know how? Lastly do you know if any are available and for how much? Genuine questions that have always puzzled me. Of course they can. You have to find somebody who has some to sell, and buy them from them. The price is usually at the point where the amount you are willing to pay meets the amount they are willing to accept. Glad to have helped. I think in a private company the board would have to approve that sale / transfer of shares.

That was just a bit of mischief, but I've often mused on which international sides Rovers could beat and also at what level of male football the England Women team could play. I watch a lot of women's football and the physicality would be the issue not technical skill. Players like Lloyd, Kawasumi, Little & Rapinoe could all play in League One teams in attacking roles (wings or as smaller strikers) in my opinion. A fair few players in defensive and midfield roles would struggle however. I think Lucy Bronze would make a decent Conference leftback but would stuggle higher up. If they couldn't handle the physicality how would they be able to play in L1?

You will have to ask the people who set up the sharescheme if there was a clause allowing the supporters directors to devolve the minutes of a board meeting. I'll save you the bother there isn't a clause and those that setup the sharescheme wouldn't have had the forethought to include such a clause. In fairness any such clause would've been kicked into the long grass Detailed minutes aren't necessary. Clearly some things will be genuinely confidential and won't be included. However, a general overview of some of the areas discussed, along with issues raised by the fans directors with actions agreed, would be a good start. It's not rocket science. I don't know if Carlisle fans have paid a million quid for their fans rep, but I doubt it. Sad to read and have it rammed home just how wrong Rovers are getting everything at every turn. Personally I know nothing about Carlisle. But BSS is very happy to talk to anyone about anything he can, just go upto to him and say hello. Now ken will just look down his nose at you as if you were a piece of s**t disturbing his silence. But everyone is happy with that as no-one is standing against him for reelection.

Why would they be available? It's a private limited company. In fact no company would publish the minutes of a board meeting unless forced to by a court I was only asking as I know it's a PLC but wondered if any had ever been released ? As PG says a summary from either Fan's Director wouldn't go amiss, even what they had asked on behalf of supporters would be something so at least we'd have some idea if we were being represented. BRGC 1883 isn't a plc. There are vastly different rules between a PLC and a private company which BRFC 1883 is. And frankly you would have less chance of getting board minutes from a PLC than you would from Rovers.

Living in Germany I suppose I've had more exposure to 'Kloppo' than most in the UK. He is brilliant. I imagine the BBC and Sky are sh1tting a brick about interviewing him. He'll quite likely slip in the F word during interviews. One interview here a reporter asked him what he would do to motivate a player at half-time, and Kloppo slapped the reporter and just said, "that" ! I think the average football fan in the UK will love him. I think so as well. But why has he left one club where he couldn't financially compete to another club where he can't financially compete? Just another stepping stone?

Are the minutes of our board meetings available anywhere ? Aren't the fans directors that we've paid for supposed to report back? I've never seen anything remotely resembling this, or any useful information at all that I can recall. Not sure if our fans directors are even invited to board meetings. Carlisle get that, we get our Chairman's Update. Utterly pathetic. You will have to ask the people who set up the sharescheme if there was a clause allowing the supporters directors to devolve the minutes of a board meeting. I'll save you the bother there isn't a clause and those that setup the sharescheme wouldn't have had the forethought to include such a clause.
