Be interesting if new manager MT gets Trevor Clarke and James Belshaw back from their loan spells in Ireland and Gloucestershire respectively. Both clearly fell out with the previous manager and both have enjoyed regular football elsewhere. Clarkes loan technically ended November 30. Not 100% clear on the situation but would imagine he’s on holiday to get some rest after the Irish league season ended. We also need Jerry Lawrence and Hartvry Greenslade back from theor loans to assess their suitability as both are highly rated by Byron Anthony. Last thing we need is Belshaw and Clarke brought back.

Broken...you are unambitious and clearly accept mediocrity..think outside your box Hope for the best but expect the worse...that's why we linger in the lower divisions I want championship footie Harsh - Now where’s the dislike button….. It was a great send off. I don't hardly post on this forum as I think its full of people that clearly have vendettas against most things to do with Rovers. One of them is answering your question above. Think I'll stick to " Gas Chat " where not all but most of the posters are at least civilised.

After sadly losing one of the toteend4, there will be even fewer ‘soundbites’ emulating from from the ashes. That said, we are united on one matter and that is, for us not to rush to dismantle all the ‘positives’ from the B***** dynasty, such as infrastructure, training, diet, belief, style of play,. professionalism etc Therefore it’s a no brainier that AM keeps the Joey Baton until the end of December, then a decision can be made about manager and resigning JCH who’s been warming the bench and twiddling his fingers and thumbs for the last couple of months. Talking of twiddling fingers and thumbs, at least we go into our latest enforced break, having finishing with a ugly win in Scotland yesterday. All of which keeps us in touch, in what is starting to look like a very open promotion race back to Division Two . UTG Agree with a lot of what you say Keith. Still believe we need a manager like Monk for us to get into the 2nd division and stay there. Would have liked JCH at the time. But things have moved on since then. That Carlisle forward ( Gibbons ) looks usefull. Also don't think this new board fully understood our predicament regarding the FM and I'm sure if they had this time over again. Would probably not have joined us. Was Mike really Toteend04 ?

Can someone on here explain how I received a ban after I reported a moderator on Gas Chat who sent me a personal message calling me a complete pric" I asked if that person could be investigated and I was banned without notice or explanation? Can someone post my concerns on Gas Chat please? Well if you are " HerbertBlake "on GasChat or Mike Jay on Facebook I'm not surprised. You have been constantly stirring up things and been very anti the club with your malicious rumours. Suggest you have a good look at yourself. If you are not this person -- I don't know.

I didn't realise he was still going to games. I thought he said he was no longer interested because of B*****? I can confirm that TTWD is not attending games or contributing financially in any way towards Bristol Rovers FC. His views with regard to B***** (and the owner) are in alignment with mine. A decent articulate poster, who just walked away from a Club he can no longer recognise. If I hadn't saddled myself with Admin, it's probably what I would have done. And these views are why I rarely post (or even look on this forum ) nowadays. It is just so negative.

I have, I await your reply. x Surely you must realise that attacking me in the way you do betrays your lack of confidence. If I was really misrepresenting facts to suit the famous “agenda” you should be able to easily counter that without resorting to talk about chocolate factories or deriding Denis Dunford as a “ milkman”. My response to your post is to once again say that if you and others like you are influencing Wael then I feel for him. His open letter today undoubtedly comes from the heart but someone is encouraging him to make very extravagant promises which, IMO, is not good for him or for Rovers. We need calm hands on the tiller and people who are able to negotiate with potential partners like Conygar and BCC in a businesslike way but be sharp and strong so that the club’s best interests are protected. Maybe that will come with the new owners or majority shareholders which Rovers have been trying to attract. Bath Gas has mentioned it a number of times and I think this will be a good thing for Rovers if we can get the right people on board. But on the other forum you have implied that we are not up for sale when you must know that the BDO Baker Street office has been working on this for over a year now. What is your motivation for pretending it’s not happening ? You state New owners / Majority shareholders. Who are these people or is it something you have been told down the pub. Please enlighten me / others who these people are ?

I remember Len Munden coaches. Wasn't he also a boxing promoter? My Dad and Uncle were supporters of Len Munden's boxing promotions at the Colston Hall in the 1960's. There must have been many hundreds there but I can remember them saying how Len always came around and chatted to them and made everyone feel welcome. Dad was a friend of Jack Bodell a pro boxer from South Derbyshire who was British Heavyweight Champion for a time. He fought 4 and won 4 at the Colston Hall and also beat much more fancied boxers like Billy Walker, Johnny Prescott, Brian London and Joe Bugner but couldn't overcome Henry Cooper. Yes -- He actually came from Swadlincote.

That comment is so childish. I've read some of your posts on there and all I can say -- If you want to act like that I don't blame the mods in any shape or form. I have always had a dislike of people who pretend to know things and would like you to believe they have been told things and want people to view them as ITK. When in fact they no **** all and are just attention seekers.

I wouldnt wipe my arse with the drivel that man writes. Rod Liddle that is, not you GT! City, are they more wealthy than Rovers? They might be, truth is, we dont know how much Wael is worth and just because we know Hargreaves is rich man, we dont know how much of that wealth is actually in his back pocket either. Are city supporters richer than Rovers supporters? Who knows? I'm sure there are well off fans on both sides of the river as much as there are some who live hand to mouth. Aside from Clifton, Abbots Leigh, Leigh Woods, Cadbury Camp and the upper part of victorian and coastal Clevedon, I am struggling to think of any areas of Bristol which I would consider to be very well monied and even then its nothing compared to parts London or Cheshire. Think you may have muddled up Hargreaves with Lansdown. But I get your point.

Can someone please explain to me what/who the Presidents Club are / what they do for the club ? I always thought they were a bit of an Elitiest club for blokes who attend matches in suits and like to wear ties. Maybe I am wrong. Think Pat ? boss of the holiday company in Baldwin street used to be a big noise in it -- But again maybe wrong.

Personally, I would welcome some straight talking with regards to the "Stadium Project". I have been very vocal in my opposition to the Fruit Market site. I believe that our future is in Horfield (or the surrounding areas of Bristol), and we should "cut our cloth to suit our means". For me, this means either a modest new build on the current site, or a piecemeal stand-by-stand redevelopment. Either option would be exciting and awesome IMO. The UWE was the ideal new stadium project for us in terms of location (IMO) , and a positive working relationship with the local University made sense to me. That ship has sailed, although the land is still undeveloped. The short to medium term focus looks like it will be on the team, rather than stadium infrastructure. The training ground is a positive, good investment. Wael must be congratulated for that. I would be looking to make improvements to The Mem. I can't see a huge redevelopment project elsewhere ever happening for us. The Mem has the ability to generate a loud intimidating atmosphere. It just needs some restructuring and a team that we can all get behind. We, as a club, need to play to our strengths. Build an identity as the plucky underdog and start to grow a fanbase again around an identity. I'm sure it can be done. It just requires a vision that is achievable. I totally disagree with you. The current ground is awful and a nightmare to get to. The parking around the ground is dreadful. I personally would'nt spend another pound on it. Everything about the ground is wrong. Look at what Swansea, Brighton & Brentford have achieved -- That is the way to go.

Best Rovers player I ever saw was Geoff Bradford. Best players playing against us were Alan Sunderland ( Wolves 5-1 ) Craig Bellamy ( West Ham League cup ) Mcmanaman ( Liverpool Cup replay ) and possibly Ken Wagstaffe ( Mansfield Town.

Nope. No checks. No masks. No tannoy announcements giving instructions. Football is back to pre-Covid normality within The Memorial Stadium. Like all the other sports stadiums. Also the pubs, shops ,theatres and all the other places I have visited. Its purely down to yourself loke it should be.

Chronic inbreeding/Bridgwater. Not a lot changes eh? That's harsh! In a past life I actually lived on Sydenham Estate and went to Sydenham Secondary School and it was a delightful place to ...... ...................No your right a gawd awful place and until recently before Cellophane shut down Bildgewater was just a long street with a smell! Well its changed now. A lot to do with Hinkley money I suspect. And the football club has come into money with plans drawn up for a new ground change of name and many other things that will see them probably go from strength to strength. Oh and incidently Bridgwater used to have an extra "E" in its title. Also lots of Gas in the town as well.

Well my definition is someone who is a fan of Rovers and attends matches when possible. Fair enough. That's me OUT then by your definition. In mitigation I would like to put forward spending the last 30 years making regular 300 mile round trips to Bristol to watch Rovers, a Club I used to have a great affinity with. On February 22nd 2021 the Club made a catastrophic decision in appointing Mr B*****. I lost that affinity. I lost all faith in Wael & the Board. On principle I will not spend any money on Bristol Rovers. When Mr B***** is shown the door, I will probably be back. If that's OK with you. Lots of love, Rovers supporter in purgatory. From what your saying though is that you still followed Rovers when we appointed that big headed fraud known as Paul Buckle then. Words fail me.

If George is a fan of Wael and the manager, it's not preventing him being a Rovers supporter. Not sure why you chose to ask such a trite question. And likewise, if I am not a fan of Wael or the manager, that does not prevent me from being a Rovers Supporter. (Though not 'active' right now. The Club is not getting a penny out of me). This is why I asked george to define what is "a Rovers supporter". I await his reply george Well my definition is someone who is a fan of Rovers and attends matches when possible.

Reading comments like this -- I firmly believe at least half the people on this forum are not Rovers fans at all. Just because we don’t go along with the mob. We question but based on fact and don’t just blindly follow. Wake up mate With regards to going along with the mob -- I beg to differ as a lot of people on this particular forum seem to be always having a moan or a dig with regards to the current management structure at Rovers. So I wonder who this mob as you say are ? And for your own piece of mind I'm not asleep -- So the comment of " Wake up mate " is not warranted.
