Are people addicted to gambling weak minded in Joeys world? Or is that someone else’s fault?

Labuschagne is on 95 and very likely to get to a hundred. As indeed this thread will.

We're choosing our sex now? Bloke's an idiot. What, like ‘get enough points to stay up’? Or ‘follow my ill thought-out and worse explained game plan’? He’s now gone all Sergeant Wilson: “I say, would you mind awfully....” Did he explain all that at interview? Bloke’s an idiot. I think, generally, this arse saying Jürgen Klopp is wrong is beyond parody. Just a shame he’s associated with BRFC and prompts people to consider where they are in the league.

Glad you're back, Seth. Barton is unfit to manage Bristol Rovers.

We're choosing our sex now? Bloke's an idiot. I never thought the day would come, when this club had a manager who didn`t know the difference between sex and gender. He must go. Now.

So let me see Klopp ~ successful manager whose team are fighting for the Premier League title and have had few games cancelled Barton ~ manager of a team relegated to League Two without even a whimper, languishing in the lower places and not having played for weeks due to Covid. Yep, Barton's definitely a winner.....

I'm not going to contribute to Gas Guzzler for a bit ("hoorah" from some, that's fine). Apart from this one. The thread that will not go away.

from Frostie today...
Barton is under contract until 2023 and he has a very close relationship with the owner, so if the manager does fall short of his targets I don't see him being moved on this summer unless the end of the season is truly disastrous.
Within the walls of the Mem and The Quarters, there is belief that the team is progressing in the right way and off-field structures are getting into good order.
So for Barton to leave this summer, I think it would take him quitting – which I don't foresee happening – or a new opportunity arrising that lures him away. That of course would depend on matters out of Rovers' control.
Ultimately, Barton has the power, control and influence at Rovers that few managers enjoy elsewhere in the EFL, so I don't see him walking away from that unless something similar comes up closer to home.
He's also said himself that his reputation is on the line at Rovers, which makes me think he will not leave the club until he has either delivered success, or tried everything he can to deliver it – unless, as I say, a similar or better opportunity is available closer to his base in the North West.
And he has repeatedly made the point that Rovers is a great opportunity – I believe he called it a "gold mine" not too long ago because of the club's potential on and off the pitch.

I know he is a Liverpudlian but is his base in the NW? We all assume that’s where it is but istr him having an address in Kew, London. Of course he could have two houses. UTG!

Has the Court Case for domestic violence in March been dropped then? I must have missed that. A guilty verdict and he will be sacked. This has been unequivocally stated by Wael Al-Qadi. Unless of course, our owner turns out to be a liar.

Once Barton has left Rovers for what ever reason no club in the entire UK would go near him, his criminal CV alone would put any new owner off employing him, he is unemployable. Add to that his managerial history is average to say the least, battered in a Div 1 play off by Wycombe Wanderers whilst at Fleetwood and relegated with Rovers, his record speaks for itself, who'd want him anyway and the baggage he brings. John Sheridan showed him up last night as tactically inept. As for the Post, it's about time they stopped sucking up with deliberate bias fed information and report on the club impartially and constructively, it would serve them better.
