It's interesting seeing the body language in that video, compared to his preview interview. All calm and relaxed in the one before, weaving and bobbing all over the place in the one after. I've noticed it before when we've lost, he really struggles to control himself. Not difficult to see how he could boil over - you wouldn't want to be the one in his way when he did.

We may be disappointed he’s still in post but I get the feeling that we’re moving towards the end of this farce. Fingers crossed. UTG!

Just looked at the fixture list. We play Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Friday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday. That's a heck of a block running up to and through his two court cases. Are we really going to let him be in charge beyond tonight?

I've watched it thanks, but wish I hadn't. But thanks anyway. With a bit of luck this will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Wael has an apology statement to prepare. And our club's name is dragged down further still. It wouldn't have been so bad if he'd have apologised himself straight away. I get the impression he's read an older book that's used the word and was desperate to shoehorn it in somewhere. All very sad.

There's no way that's a sackable offence imo. Possibly an apology to any people that lost people during the holocaust, yes I see that. I'm fine with using words associated with war,eg battle, fight etc when talking football,it's what I heard for decades, but the holocaust was a particular human disaster,if I can put it that way.Indeed, there are many nervous Jewish people about today, frightened by the rise in antisemitic attacks.Etc. What about the merry go round point he is making, too many changes mean poor performance? The opinion/excuse he is making is the team isn’t playing well because there’s too many changes every week. But in recent weeks it’s been quite settled? One like for like change today? The experienced Anderton for the younger Harries. From the moment he came here was tendency to drop people after one mistake, and the fact the players he has assembled himself sit 2nd for worse discipline is hardly the managers defence for being forced into changes. It’s more likely he has assembled a largish squad that is much of a muchness, you can interchange players but it doesn’t make much difference? We can’t be sure if missing bums on the musical chairs have fallen out with manager, don’t turn up for training, or genuinely injured, but season tickets were sold on basis Hughes, Coutes and Finney would be a solid spine. That Plan A hasn’t worked. It’s now down to the energy of Thomas, Nicholson and Nichols tribute act Collins to save our season. Why didn’t he just point to the hard running and effort, mention those who clearly done well, and then go and have a take away? He talks too much.

From the East Stand, we played the majority a back 3.....we might have set up as a 4, but certainly most of our play consisted of Anderton (left), Taylor (middle), and Kilgour (right)....if JAB is pointing out Anderson is a rwb then that's further evidence he's unfit to manage.
We had Hoole available.
Didn't even get a sniff....yet Coutts did, and he's contribution this season is around 0.
Poor management, we were already 2 down before any changes. JAB out!

I wonder if Newcastle are desperate enough to give him a shot?

Any “Apologies, our manager misspoke” message from the club yet?
They made the previous apology about Barton too slow didn’t they, it’s better to be quick with a statement?

Bristol Rovers: 4th in League One, December 2019. By February 2021 - three managers later - JB arrives and talks enthusiastically about saving us from relegation to League Two. Echoes of "the special one". Instead, we get relegated - finishing bottom - and capitulate in most games without even a hint of scoring. JB starts to mention "The Great Reset", "turning the around" and "cutting out the cancer". This morning: we lie in 18th in League Two. We've lost half our games, conceded 23 in 14 (the second-worst record in the division). All with JB's NEW players. So: JB couldn't keep us in League One with different players We're now struggling in League Two with his players Assuming "The Great Reset" is well underway, when does it finish and what we will see when it has? When does JB feel the "cancer" took hold? When we were 4th in League One? Afterwards? Before?! It's all very well him talking about the inability to play a settled back-line against Newport - but he manages a team who managed to get two defenders sent off within 5 minutes on Tuesday night against Colchester. Our disciplinary record this season is very poor - what is JB's influence on this? JB talks (and talks) such a 'good game' that I think it may blind some of us to the reality of our situation. We're 18th in League Two. There is a very real danger of a second successive relegation. Something needs to change - and quickly. I think we have some decent players. I don't believe the same is true of the manager. We can't afford to keep taking one step forward and two back (giving the false illusion of progress). Time for a new manager before it's too late.

The rumour mill is suggesting a sacking may be imminent. Is this rumour from a reliable source? Somebody who was in the dressing room told somebody, that person then put it on Twitter. I'm not putting too much faith in the accuracy of it.

So it's "OK" to equate a player having a poor game of football with the deaths of around 6 million Jews in Nazi Germany. Right, got it. How much lower can this disgusting character go? I guess we have to wait until next week.

I guess we have to wait until next week. He does do the media element of the job so poorly. Those managers who handle the media well say an awful lot less, stick to the point, polite about everyone even those managers they hate playing mind games with them, and don’t try to be too clever. Joey does media the opposite of all that, it’s one of his poor suits as manager.

Can't help but not believe that Barton must have money in the club and is a partner of the owner, how else can an employee condemn two main board directors in public for being next to useless, that has to be insubordination and a sackable offence. Then in these sensitive times and social media more viral than flu, use the word holocaust in any context. If you think it's just the Independent on Sunday that's picked up the quote, wait until the other news outlets wake up and comment on it. Thank god it's only 33 days until Barton's first trial, when the pseudo intellect yet again dons the horn rimmed glasses and appears as the innocent party in court. If Barton is not snared in that one then I'm sure the next trial in December will see Barton enjoying a communal Christmas well away from football.
