I don't think his track record of appointments stands up. Coughlan was serendipitous to say the least. ....and he was'nt good enough for many on here, on this actual thread no doubt.2nd in the 3rd tier was'nt good enough for them!Oh no! Now we've a manager that given time quite likely has a chance of seeing us push on,they want shot of him too. It's the old Gashead self destruction button being pressed yet again. Pillars of the community, apparently happy to see said pillars crumble and the building collapse all around, just to get their way. GC was a classic case of careful what you wish for. I feel BG was somewhat the same. I commented a year ago that that squad was too good to go down. Survival in L1 was more important to me than promotion. I remember saying in 2016 we must never go back to L2 and here we are. But Barton and Bond have steadied the ship slightly and we will see where we are end of November in that respect, if he is sacked now we may end up going down again. We are allowed to you know. I was a huge Coughlan fan, because he made them play for the starting 11, and it worked. It was like a magic circle that only 11 people were allowed in to. And if you didn't cut it, you were out.

So latest from JB. Praise for himself and new backroom staff as our improving fitness(over last season) meant the difference in our last two away games!
Then slagging Widdrington for disappearing with the scouting network.
Almost like he studies forums to work out statements to endure himself to some.
There again, he may be correct.

Spot on I'm quite the Wael fan, but this appointment does not reflect well on him I think - knowing the wood from the trees etc I don't think his track record of appointments stands up. Coughlan was serendipitous to say the least. That's football. And I was happy with the Garner and Tis appointments

Widdrington was at Colchester recently so Barton must be aware when he receives his future opponent match reports that he is out there working for him. Barton is a twat and Widdrington is useless as Tisdale tried to tell the owner but Wael chose his DOF over him. Nasty business is this football lark.

Hardly surprising to get that response. It's just conjecture. He is here til at least November and if found not guilty of both and if we are mid table by Jan then he will still be here. People on here can have their opinion but we need to accept that he ain't going anywhere yet and get behind the teamNo we jolly well don't. What our fan base could do is collectively apply the same standards to themselves that they demanded of Fleetwood and object to his appointment in an effective way. Still, not to worry, he'll be gone in due course, and some will be left knowing that they supported him and or contributed to his salary, whilst others will have a clear conscience. On their gravestone will be, he was such a positive soul π

You must absolutely be true to yourself and realistic and at the same time try to be as positive as you can possibly be. Make it your mission each day to make someone's life better. It will rub off on other people and you then find you get it paid back. Realistic is not the same as just bang negative.

There's a common denominator in there, I'm pleased that Garner has got the chance to show his worth elsewhere. Tis has enough on his CV for his career not to have been tainted by the unfortunate experience.

Hardly the end of the world Chelts. They'll just have to control the aggression abit more.Hopefully it shows a determination to compete. I reckon we'll be a few above our current position come the end of the season.

Great. We are now challenging to be the Club with the worst disciplinary record in League 2. #challenging

But itβs all the referees fault.

Not good. Officials know which teams are trouble, and they won't do those clubs any favours or give them the benefit of the doubt.

OK we are certainly sinners but which teams have been on the receiving end of the most reds and yellow cards? Orient have received 20 % of their yellow cards in one game and similarly Carlisle 25 % both against us .So are the opposition looking to" rough us up" as part of their game plan

But itβs all the referees fault. For the sake of balance, I read elsewhere that Rovers are the team with the highest fouls against (as in we get awarded more free kicks than anyone else). I suppose that could be spun in various ways though. Edit: www.footstats.co.uk/index.cfm?task=league_foulsFrom these statistics, we're well in in front (?) as the most fouled against, and if I'm reading it right, in the top 5 of least fouls commited.
