I'm not sure if Wael Al-Qadi will ever recover from this appointment and his continued unfathomable backing of Barton. One thing is for sure. It's going to have to be one hell of a mea culpa.

JB P30 W7 D3 L20 F24 A43 23.3% win ratio. Played 30, lost 20. Quite frightening. The win ratio is dire, but the number of draws even worse, just look at the defeats, 66% of Barton's matches have ended in defeat. And he's still here. Why?

Not only that. 24 points in 30 games and 24 goals. Any other manager in any other division across the United Kingdom would surely have been relieved of their duties by now. Why? Because our man child owner is stubborn in his refusal to admit he and his various appointees don't have the first idea about the football side of a football club.

Another pre match interview for headlines rather than carrying substance.
Another pop at the fan base unrest. Are we supposed to be grateful for this charity he talks about?

Does anyone know if we are actually paying him or is this part of some grand experiment?

Does anyone know if we are actually paying him or is this part of some grand experiment? Good question. There have been rumours about "what" exactly we are paying Barton to be manager of Bristol Rovers FC. If he is doing it for free/charity - then that might explain Wael Al-Qadi's continued backing? Barton was never the best option, but at £0 per month, certainly represents the cheapest option. I'm struggling to think of what else.

It seems to be a plausible explanation for this ridiculous situation.

I genuinely think swissgas is very close to the truth in that Barton bought his way in and this is why Wael just simply cannot get rid of him nor his gang of minders, mates and hangers on. Yes, i could well be wrong but the more i think about it, the more it is making sense. PLEASE, SOMEONE … tell me where they are getting paid from and how Barton has people who are not on the official payroll, in his dugout and around him ? It is not beyond reason to now believe there has been some kind of deal struck, i thought it was maybe a bit left of centre at first but i now see it as very close to truth. @contradiction irenestoyboy please explain to me how these people are 1) allowed to be in the dugout and 2) who pays them. I would be very interested to know how this is being worked. I don’t mind being called a loony btw, i just find it all extremely odd and just not right

I think he pays some of his backroom staff himself, so I guess that's where his own wage goes.

I guess he is surrounded by some people who are not on the payroll because he is paying them himself - hence his comment about not earning anything, he's sort of putting it back into the club by funding employees.
A strange set up, but presumably approved by Wael prior to appointment.

A guess and a presumption, which of course you are entitled to. I just find it weird that no-one knows under what terms and conditions we are employing this repulsive character to mis-manage our Football Club.

Why on earth would supporters be told the terms and conditions in a club employee's contract?

Why on earth would supporters be told the terms and conditions in a club employee's contract? Fair point. But no-one seems to know whether we are paying this charlatan a salary or not. That, I would contend, is weird.

14 points in 12 games is dire in the fourth division. 2 game unbeaten run, whoopee.
Barton out.

He should not have been appointed we get it. Should have got 4 points vs Carlisle. Support Rovers. Love Oasis even though Liam Gallagher is a d**k. It's not perfect, but we are making progress. Sack him now and we go back to square one. He will do himself. Just be patient, small steps.
