Before the current aberration, we have appointed some good, decent men as manager in recent years. Paul Trollope and Darrell are fine examples. Chris Hughton would more than make up for Barton, as would someone like the great Keith Hill.
Barton out.

I’ve tried to be supportive, really I have, mostly for the ‘greater good’ of BRFC. But today was the final straw for me. Missed passes, out thought, out fought and out played.
Only three outfield players come out of today with even a modicum of credit. The rest of them can just sod off. Journeymen with zero pride in the shirt.
We are now a football club lacking any form of vision or soul. Barton has to go this weekend, but the issues run much deeper.

You read my mind! Ha, sorry for stating the bleeding obvious NP. I was fishing for someone to say "Really?" or "What's that then?" or "Tell us one?", so I could be the one to come out with the punchline!

Saw we were 0-3 down at HT. Gutted we didn't go on to lose by 5 or 6 and see the end of his pathetic tenure. An utterly vile individual. Dilusional, violent, divisive, narcissistic, incompetent. A pseudo intellectual piece of crap who was appointed our manager and has infested and destroyed our once proud Football Club. Please, get rid of this 'thing'. Apparently we might still challenge. FFS. WAKE UP FFS.

It now seems to me we will never get rid of him, even if he is convicted. He has been given too much control and everyone seems scared of challenging him. He should never have been appointed and now appears to be un-sackable. He has a worse record than Garner having both managed 26 league games with Garner achieving 22 points compared to Barton's 18.

I've just read some of the vitriol on Gaschat. There is no support for this vile failure currently managing BRFC. I hope Wael sacks the appalling scouse **** in the next 24 hours. If Wael wants less than 5000 turning up for games - he's going the right way about it. It's all so sad. I'll be back at the Mem when Barton is removed. Time to prepare your mea culpa Wael.

I’d be happy with almost the managers of other league 2 clubs managing Rovers. We missed the boat with Nigel Clough. Mike Flynn is good, Derek Adams has been there and done it. In fact the only point of difference that our Joeybag has is his Twitter followers and celebrity reputation.

Thankfully couldn't go yesterday as am in Crete. That result spoilt about 10 minutes of my day. Previously, a defeat like that would ruin a weekend.
So sorry for those of you who went and especially those that travel good distances to Bristol.
Anyway, yammas! 🏴🍷

Is Lennie free? WYHTB together..... I think Lennie is a bit long in the tooth now but I would have Trolls back with a younger DOF who had a good database of players. Leave Trolls to do what he is good at, coaching. 'a younger DOF who had a good database of players. Isn't that what we were told Widdrington was? If not, what's the point of him? Then again, his database seemed to develop an over-ride search criterion of 'Joey's mate' at some stage, so probably needs switching off and on again.

TW nothing to do with recruitment since JB took over. Be interesting to compare the recruitment of TW against current. JCH, Ayunga and Hanlan all returned a transfer fee, maybe the last two we broke even. Barrett a failure, possibly more to do with attitude than ability. Finley and Belshaw seem to be doing a job. Discounting loans, half the recruits this season will not be here next.
