Crediting Wael for that promotion is like having Edmund Hillary get to within 50 feet of the summit of Everest, taking a helicopter ride to join him there, snatching the flag out of his hand, running to the peak, planting the flag and pretending that you did the climb yourself. I would rather not, but technically it was under his watch. Even so, spending 18 million to not even mount a serious promotion challenge in league one is staggering. Would anybody dare to make a case that it was money well spent and that the club is being run efficiently? Just imagine what John Coleman could do with 9 million never mind 18. Wael admitted 97p in the £ was going on players wages. Proof, for me, that we need a proper scouting system. It's worse than that. If we were a complete basket case like Swindon then maybe you could understand us stumbling from crisis to crisis, but we had that magic Luck & Chemistry and huge goodwill. There was a genuine 'feelgood' factor around the place. To squander that and run up the losses that we have in 5 years at this level at most clubs would have supporters calling for the the heads of those responsible.

Which is the most likely headline in a few months time ?
“Al-Qadi tames bad boy B*****”
or
“B***** blasts rag bag Rovers”

Talking of Joe's whatever happened to Dunne is he still part of the massive back room staff ? Would Lord Byron Hargreaves and Mesure be able to work with B***** ? Dunne followed GC to Mansfield and then lost his job when GC was dismissed, he was offered the Assistant Manager's at Stevenage but having accepted it, then turned down for family or personal reasons.

Regardless - finances are still totally out of control when there are numerous other bills to be paid. Ah I could have sworn he was saying that the vast majority of the spend was on players, I stand corrected in that case

People who are desperate. In many way B***** being the go-to option is merely a symptom of the much bigger problem, a problem that has resulted in us looking for our 3rd manager of the season. We’ll be looking for our fourth in two years soon enough if we employ B*****.

The news that Joe Ledley is apparently training with Rovers lends credence to the rumour that the club is now heavily involved with controversial football agent Willie McKay.

Doesn't quite sit with where we were just over 4 years back when the club were boasting about employing people who have been involved in the design and construction of some of the finest stadiums etc etc, does it.

This is how we have evolved. It is one thing to highlight “typical Rovers’ cock up’s” or bemoan Wael’s naivety and lack of competence but if McKay is now on the scene then we could be entering a much more ominous phase.

So our DOF basically sits around scratching his arse and farming out the bother of unearthing players to an agent? Based on where we are currently at that wouldn’t surprise me an ounce
