B***** comes across as a cherub in the interview, sadly the man suffers from a personality disorder and however much anger management he's undertaken when the red mist rises there is nothing as an individual he can do to prevent it. Before the season is finished I'm sure there will be a reported incident somewhere sometime, he's capable of combusting at any moment.I don't think the club realises either what a high profile court case can do to damage it's image when the clubs name is dragged through the papers ever day because it employs the guy, Leeds United suffered badly during the Lee Bowyer trial.

Innocent until proven guilty. Point me towards a single post on this forum where anybody has said that he's guilty of attacking the Barnsley manager? For all we know that guy may have been minding his business and his teeth just fell out, it'll all come out in court. We all understand the premise of innocence which underpins our legal system, it's all of the other stuff that he's known to have done, some of it caught on camera that's the problem.

Judging by the comments from the CEO of the EFL his actions were caught on camera and witnessed by others and this is the strength of the police prosecution. It sounded very much like he had seen them as well. The EFL have to wait until the outcome of the court case to carry out their own hearing. Until the court hearing on the 1st of June, B***** remains on bail.

A couple of mentions of a socially distanced Press Conference, back up the thread. It appears that football is exempt. Strange to see someone wearing a face mask, then taking it off to enter a crowded room - the opposite way to the rest of the world!! I’m getting worried about TW’s gurning now ! 😱😂

Did Stendel attack B***** who pushed him away. In so doing colliding with a stanchion thus causing his injury? I don’t know and neither do you. Why not leave the kangaroo court to the Aussies and let our courts decide on, you know, the evidence. How novel would that be? I doubt any of us on here did witness it but the reports that have been published state that Stendel was pushed from behind. It does appear to follow a pattern but let's see what comes out in court. This is well worth a listen from the CEO of The EFL who has seen and heard the facts but not yet able to take action until the court case is settled. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p076ggpwSo basically "It needs to be officially proven in a court of law but as far as the witnesses who have seen it have described it he's banged to rights" When Wael bought the club off Higgs did he buy his legal team too? Mind you Wael would probably love the publicity of having a manager who makes his summer signings from behind bars. At least he won't be poached by Mansfield.

May 2007 he left Man City team mate Ousmade Dabo requiring hospital treatment. To his apologists, yes we can say that he actually did this, he was charged and convicted and received a suspended 4 month jail sentence for assault.

I don't think I've ever seen so many social media posts by Rovers for any other previous appointment, be that manager, player or owner. Twitter, Instagram, facebook, website. "Announce the appointment" / "JB" / "Straight to work" / "A busy first day for the new Rovers manager" / "First day on the grass..." / "First interview". He does speak well, I'll give him that. Although if he became a Bristol Rovers fan after we nearly beat Liverpool in the cup, it begs the question, who did he support a year or two later , when City actually did win up there

Personally I’m off rovers Twitter. They are way over milking this, it’s like an embarrassing PR stunt. He’s a celebrity and he’s come to little old Rovers. Not sure why so many people tweeted Wael begging him to appoint him. If I’d known that was a thing I’d have begged him to approach Paul cook. I think the strength of feeling against B***** have made those in favour of him display it even more than they would have normally done, so anyone would think he was Guardiola rather than a fairly below average league one manager who despite the budget hasn’t won a thing.
They’ve wasted their money on all the Rovers gear they’ve put him in, he could have had mine

It’s really really trashy for the club to be milking the reputation of a man whose famous for all the wrong reasons. And for those you who think it’s great have you forgotten the award Rovers won for the “stand up” campaign, the promotional video for which featured a young girl being helped up on to her stool on the terrace sending out a strong message that Rovers was a family club. This video was unanimously celebrated by fans as a big part of getting young families to watch the Gas. A short time later and all that has been thrown in the bin and forgotten in favour of yet another new direction the club is demanding that fans buy into. And the sheep lap it up. This club has been so many things to so many people since Wael has been here it doesn’t even know who it is anymore. Family club yesterday, pound shop Millwall today and something else tomorrow. There is no plan or leadership whatsoever.

How I wish Gills had said yes

I had a message from the Club in the run up to the appointment: "This club is and always will be a Family Club at the centre of our community". Right. The next thing they do is appoint a convicted violent criminal as our manager. So I would draw the conclusion that the Board are, amongst other things, f*ck*ng hypocrites.

The only thing I have left to add is to wonder whether Gorringe was in favour of this? Was he thinking that this is all clever marketing or was he left holding his head in his hands as Wael pulled rank and then insisted that the club hype the crap out of B*****?
Oh and that statement about Rovers being a family club.....😂😂😂😂😂😂

Has there been any communication from the board about JB becoming manager? That’s a genuine question as I’m not on social media but assume not as I haven’t seen anything on here. If not it seems strange that we haven’t had any word from Starnes or Widdrington. I can see both sides of the B***** debate and I actually think short term he may do well however it isn’t a risk I would have taken and on yet another 2.5 year contract! He is the polar opposite to the last two appointments who seemed to fit the mould of the DNA / plan charade we were sold. I can appreciate positive and negative opinions on JB’s appointment but one thing seems clear and that is there is no medium to long term plan. The board / owner / both react to negative circumstances rather than acting to stop those circumstances occurring in the first place. It’s going to be an interesting 6 months as ever!

I guess all this publicity is just part of the brand. We can lose a few lifelong fans in exchange for likes on Twitter. People forget there’s another side to B***** than a violent thug. There’s B***** the clown. Tweeting four letter tirades to Shearer and Lineker, flashing his arse, sending abuse to the cast of reality shows. There’s plenty more to milk out of this one yet and you never know, Wael might become the most followed on Instagram in Jordan

This was a massive appointment and everyone seems to have gone to ground with no comment on anything

To be fair, it gets a bit embarrassing constantly saying this new guy is our top choice and going on about DNA

Hiring B***** is like trying to cure a hangover by going on a 24 bender And for the record Wael/the club released a statement bigging B***** up, no words at all to try and get fans who weren’t happy onside. They are promoting B***** on their social media and yet they are so proud of their new toy that none of the board are facing the medía to take questions. Funny that. Even the questions that were asked at the unveiling were in house, I believe and B***** did the press conference on his own, no board members with him. Cowards avoiding scrutiny and it’s disappointing that they haven’t tried to comfort the disappointed fans.
