Starting to get a bit sick of the cheesy anecdotes, great team spirit now nonsense. As Director of Football, Tommy should have been part of the football management side of the club all along. He should have been shoulder to shoulder with the manager and accepting responsibility for results as part of a management team. He should not be a new guy who has walked in and brought a breath of fresh air to the club, he was in a position to do that all along. For Director of Football, please refer to Lennie Lawrence standing in the dugout next Paul Trollope when games weren't going our way. I am under no illusions that whoever replaces Tisdale is on a hiding to nothing with this parasite hovering behind him and we need a real football person to come in and sort out the football side of our club

I'm saying his actions over the last week have demonstrated he was definitely not supportive as a DoF should be nor is he taking any responsibility himself. I don't entirely blame him as he clearly lack experience in football management and leadership to fulfil that role. But on the basis of what I see and hear I'm inclined to believe Ollie, yes, and I firmly believe he needs removing from our club

I am under no illusions that whoever replaces Tisdale is on a hiding to nothing with this parasite hovering behind him and we need a real football person to come in and sort out the football side of our club There’s lots to unravel really. Little bits and pieces here and there that beg for further questions, eg “I sought the advice of the coaches” inferring Tisdale didn’t, but did the coaches work with Tisdale? Or were they working for Widdrington? It’s very easy for Widdrington to set a manager up to fail at Rovers by influencing the players and the coaches behind the managers back and by influencing what goes on between the signings the manager asks for and the signings the manager actually gets. I wouldn’t be wondering about this if it wasn’t for Widdrington’s undeniable ego and competitiveness. I can’t imagine that is easy for a manager with his own ideas to work with and like you say the stuff about team spirit is interesting because it sort of suggests that Widdrington sat back and let Tisdale flounder before sweeping in to save the day. Holloway will definitely have been told something. No doubt about that at all. How close to the truth is it though? Hmm....

Anyone have any idea how Thomas might manage? Is he more likely to give players the "hair dryer treatment " than perhaps BG or PT II were ?Toss a couple of "grenades" amongst them in the sanctuary of the changing room perhaps? He signed players to play passing game, will that be what he coaches? I think we might need Ian Atkins/Graham Coughlan style to stay up,but we hav'nt got the players for that. Any thoughts of what Thomas Widdringtons style will be? A 1 0 win v Swindon Town would be very welcome.a Probably Old School. Down to Earth Geordie type I reckon.

After them not wanting to play, on a perfectly good pitch, I’d love us to absolutely thrash them. Cheeky buggers EDIT. That was meant for basel

Tommy has been quiet since the new management squad arrived. I think he might have received a Gypsy's warning.

Tommy has been quiet since the new management squad arrived. I think he might have received a Gypsy's warning. In fairness the only times I recall him speaking in the past were to fill the vacuum when we haven’t had a manager. As DOF he doesn’t really have a requirement to be a club mouthpiece in the press I don’t think we’ve had his take on the appointment of B***** yet either. One thing’s for sure though if it goes tits up and Rovers get relegated I’m sure he’ll be desperate to get on the mic and put it straight that none of it was his fault and the players were good enough.
