Anyone have any idea how Thomas might manage?
Is he more likely to give players the "hair dryer treatment " than perhaps BG or PT II were ?Toss a couple of "grenades" amongst them in the sanctuary of the changing room perhaps?
He signed players to play passing game, will that be what he coaches?
I think we might need Ian Atkins/Graham Coughlan style to stay up,but we hav'nt got the players for that.
Any thoughts of what Thomas Widdringtons style will be?
A 1 0 win v Swindon Town would be very welcome.

Maybe the players he signed will start playing for him and we'll see a miraculous turnaround in form scoring goals for fun in the process...

I think the plan to move tis on was made a few weeks back hence he was not sanctioned to sign any players beyond Williams. I’m just speculating. Maybe the issue isn’t the quality of players but the quality of environment we give them to develop and be game-managed. Have you ever joined a business on false pretences which then saps your motivation?

I have worked with good and bad business managers and it certainly makes a difference to motivation.

Like Rovers but I walked I feel so bloody angry and embarrassed right now I had 4 interviews for a loans firm in 2002 who failed to mention physical debt collecting at people's houses as part of the job description. I had sales targets to hit as well, but the collections aspect stopped me from learning the job properly and massively affected my confidence. Cowboys. I learned a lot about sales however and earned a ton in expenses travelling round the area, then left and went back to insurance which i was better off for doing as a result.

He revelled in others people’s misery and didn’t hold back in throwing a punch or adding a kick. Long story and one I’m not proud of but he had his karmic balance as he died and from a long and very painful type of leukaemia. I don’t revel in anyone’s death but let’s just say, I didn’t attend the funeral and I don’t know anyone who had a good word to say of him. I lasted 12 days, I couldn’t handle seeing people, who in the majority of cases, were just having a truly awful run. I saw no point in getting aggressive with an already beaten fellow human being. Fair play that you got away from it. I’ve learned, the hardest of ways, that you can, literally, lose all you hold dear and love and in a ridiculously short time. You only need to miss one creditor and you have a domino effect. I’m Not even mentioning losing your family as that is still too painful for me. My own experience is that you never get over that loss but you learn how to live with it is all. Life can be extremely cruel. Personally I find the stay strong comments hard to take, especially when you are everything but. Sorry for going on a tangent fellow contributors. The post just brought a lot back to me

Not a lot wrong with that. Closer to the nail than the drivel that Bristol Live serves up after reading the forms.

Unfortunately that's about as spot on as it gets. I've told the owner this along with the words 'mark my words'. Its so plainly obvious to see. Forget anything I have said in the last week or so and consider in isolation..... How on earth can it be good for the club to have board of salaried individuals who are not Rovers fans? Who is going to tell Wael he is wrong or challenge him when he is about to make a decision? Who is going to want progress for the club if it means any kind of threat to their position (and progress normally means change)? Who is going to want a manager who will challenge or make the boards position uncomfortable? When a board of directors of any organisation have the main aim of 'keeping their jobs' it will never result in progress.

The Bristol Post will not provide a balance view to anything....I have personal first hand experience of that. They wont challenge the club or say much negative as they will simply lose their route to the carefully controlled rubbish they are fed and they then publish. What was their Q & A response to my outburst re the opportunity 'no meetings have taken place'.....Incredible they can even think of saying that when we have met the owner 3 times face to face, two members of the board once face to face and had a multitude of telephone conversation and video calls! I'm not looking to bring the whole debate up again but its just an illustration of how controlled the news they publish is.

Good read. Sounds about right. One thing that had escaped me though. We signed Paul Tisdale on a 2 1/2 year contract?!? So another big chunk of cash thrown out the window to pay him off. And doubtless a top up on the NDA to make sure he doesn't spill the beans on all the fun he's had in BS7 over the last 3 wonderful months. Some may say it's Wael's money and he can do what he likes. I say he's made us a laughing stock. BRFC, home address B*ll Sh*t 7.

Well he was'nt prepared to talk to Geoff Twentymann and therefore Gasheads tonight. I suppose his Boss wants to get their story straight for tomorrows media call.
Not a good start.
