Daily Mail reporting an agreement between league one clubs for all season ticket holders to watch matches free of charge due to the lack or possibly no fans up to 2021.
No doubt Sky hoping to pick up new subscribers for their other football coverage.

And hoping that people will get drawn in by them relentlessly promoting their own betting opportunities as well no doubt.

Sky provide a service, people choose to buy because it’s a service they want. What’s the problem? Plenty of others out there doing the same, British Gas, Local Authority green collection, Insurance Services, BBC Licence Fee, Netflix, Britbox etc. If you don’t want the service don’t buy it, it’s one of the easiest principles to understand, supply and demand. UTG!

UTG! So does the local hoody from Boscombe who sells smack. So that makes what he's doing just fine by your logic. Got it. Anyway, back on point. You think it's appropriate that a broadcaster promotes its own betting service to a captive audience. I don't. Your point of view will lead to ruined lives, just ask Sandra Jacques. Mine won't. I like my point of view more. Some brief facts about the industry; 0.5% of the UK’s adult population are problem gamblers. (that's over 240,000 people) 15% of online gamblers have been gambling in the workplace in the past four weeks. 3.1% of gamblers have bet more than they can afford to lose. Gambling addiction is estimated to cost the UK between £260 million and £1.2 billion per year. 7% of gamblers said they did so as a way to “earn money to get by day-to-day”.

Sorry, what was this thread about? Part of the title is Sky Sports, they are a broadcaster who offer a betting service. Maybe send that question to Wareham, he's banging on something to do with green bin collections and the BBC...

I feel pleased that being a season ticket holder, I may be able to watch the games somehow or another. During the add breaks I'll take a sip of cold cider or something, I wont hurry to set up a betting account thing.

But I won't be watching any Sky broadcasts. Have given detailed reasons for this in the past. Others can make their own decisions about supporting / encouraging the organisation, as is their right, but I'll give it the widest berth possible. Just one word of warning, if you are going to drink cider every time betting is mentioned or shown on the screen, you may be more than a little tipsy by the time the first whistle is blown.

Too true Si, adverts are purely for the gullible, and as a season ticket holder I am really pleased that I shall be able to watch some Rovers action, I have really missed it.

Your last line and the warning, I look at it differently, I have 50 years experience of watching the Rovers, and have found in latter years cider helps.

Sky own the rights to Championship, League One, League Two and the Carabao Cup. My understanding is that they have agreed a deal with the EFL for clubs to stream these games live, via iFollow and not via Sky's satellite tv platform.
Its this or nothing until fans are allowed in to grounds.
