One thing we can agree on is that we all hated Scrappy Doo

Do It Yourself Film Animation Show.
This was utterly weird, made The Open University presenters look like they were on speed. Truly one of the most bizarre things ever to make it to broadcast.
Paint Along With Nancy.
Some frumpy middle aged American who looked like she managed a couple of weeks of art lessons and somehow got her own TV show.
God there was some dross broadcast in the 1970s.
Magic roundabout, what was that all about? Looked like some poor bloke's extreme acid trip converted into a kid's show.
It's a miracle that our generation are as sane as we are having been fed that stuff.

Marine Boy Flashing Blade (Love the theme tune and the terrible dubbing of actors words always fascinated me) Banana Splits Ha! You beat me to it Rex, I was gonna nominate the Flashing Blade & Banana Splits (the writers of this show were clearly on something strong)! I also liked the Double Deckers.

Of course the Double Deckers ! I loved that (again great theme tune) . I remember one episodes which where 'men from outer space' were roaming the streets and in turned out they were just promoting a new sweet, it absolutely terrified me at the time!

Robin Hood of course. The one with Richard Green not Kevin C! Late 50s early 60s. Proper stuff. And The Virginian on a Friday night to celebrate the start of the weekend. UTG!

The Singing Ringing Tree (Tales from Europe) used to scare the pants off me!.. Good shout. East German children's TV at it's very best. As scary, if not scarier than Pogles Wood.

It's a miracle that our generation are as sane as we are having been fed that stuff.Given the responses so far, that explains the general level of insanity of the generation born in the 60's. The beaten generation, the beaten generation. Reared on a diet of prejudice and misinformation. And bizarre kid's TV shows.
