Watched the last 20mins of the Gladbach game (after Spuds/Arse). Very very nervous viewing. Had given up on Koln salvaging a point. But was told in the pub later and celebrated accordingly! Union play Bochum and Koln in 2 mega 6 pointers. So it's effectively one from 3 for the 3rd bottom play-off spot. Anything could happen and probably will... There is only a 1 goal difference between Union and Bochum. Even at home a draw won't be a bad result for Union. I've had a word with the landlord at the Duke and I think it should be on. The Alte Forsterei will be absolutely rocking. Union at Koln next weekend, Bochum home to Leverkusen. So looking at the next couple of fixtures, if Union don't get themselves out of trouble - they will only have themselves to blame. I am nervous now. 7.45am. |

A few changes made and at 2-3 it looked like Union would go on and win it. Then bloody 2-4, 3-4 and again Union looked like salvaging a point. But not to be. Why was Arundson was brought on so late? He's been the only bright spark second half of the season. Agonising to watch. And didn't put £10 on Union going down at 5-1 like I said I would. Idiot. Union now 7/4 to go bottom 3, Mainz (thankfully only drew yesterday) 4/7. |

Nobbygas. I'll be in Mannheim this weekend. Only just realised this is not far from Frankfurt! Any sights worth seeing apart from Heidelberg Uni / castle? I'll be at Waldof Mannheim Saturday and Karlsruher SC Sunday. Any tips / local advice appreciated. UNVEU.

As I said a few weeks back - if you can't get results against Bochum and Koln you don't bloody well deserve to stay up. Union 2-7 on for a bottom 3 place.
