="What happens on tour, stays on tour" is a notorious phrase or saying agreed to by men who get together and travel either interstate or overseas for sporting tours. In essence, the phrase means that all exploits during the tour must be kept strictly confidential, never to be discussed with anyone outside the group.
Pints of the black stuff may have influenced Wael !

Still don't get it I'm afraid. he mucked around a little bit during one of those incredibly mind numbing unimportant interviews. I really couldn't care less. The lack of a training ground, lack of progress on a new stadium, the seemingly endless ways we continue to mismanage and f up at every attempt, those are the annoying things. Because his mucking around is a symptom of the “I do what I like” attitudeI agree that attitude may not matter much when you apply it to interrupting a player interview after a pre-season friendly but it matters a great deal when it comes to important matters like the new stadium, the training ground and the club finances. If we allow him to get away with “I do what I like” on trivial matters it’s hardly surprising he carries it on in important matters. But if instead of cheering him on Gasheads were to say to him, en masse, “come off it Wael, stop taking the p*ss, behave like a mature adult and communicate with us about the financial situation, the stadium and the training ground” maybe he would come to his senses. I understood that was the point you were trying to make, I just don't agree with you.

I wish I had said that to Geoff Dunford when he said to me ‘If you don’t like it you know what you can do’ back in 92. After the appalling way Dennis Rofe was sacked. It’s not always as black and white as you call it. I find that nothing ever is and it seems more complex the older I get.

'President', an unusually American title when the others have British titles, but it seems to be 'chief cheerleader and voice of the owners' Think 'Young Mr Grace' as the model So with the 3 million plus annual losses, falling gates and falling league position is he telling the staff “you’re all doing not very well” ? I think he must be spending too much time fooling around with that nurse ! Steady Swiss.

How much of that stuff, the stadium, training ground etc, do you think is within his control? Or, how about a different question. If this was being done with your money, how much of that stuff would you place within his control?

I don't buy this terrible behaviour accusation... it seems to me that leadership can happen a lot of ways. If it works for the team and the staff, then why not? There's no evidence that it doesn't - DC has remained pretty effusive about Wael, and the other staff seem to me to be supportive if you take the view that a takeover is underway, this could be a 'last hurrah' if you take the view that Wael is stopping a beneficial takeover, then he is being himself and you don't like him for it. That's fair enough, but it doesn't mean that he isn't doing his day-to-day job, it means he is stopping a beneficial takeover, which is a much bigger deal - and a bit of fun on tour shouldn't distract from that but noone is sure about the takeoever, though rumours persist, so construing a character fault from a bit of fun on tour seems to miss the mark to me AMPG - Do you see Wael as a leader? An astute businessman? A good communicator? A man with a clear strategy for our Football Club? Is he dignified? Is he "Presidential"? (that, I believe, is his title). I see an Emperor wearing no clothes.

Last time I tried to join the Supporters Club... I was told I was "too late". And when I asked when the cut-off point was... they didn't know. Upwards and onwards.

Have you no shame Sir? Well - we have the catchphrase sorted anyway... "these things take time you know". Everyone laughs. At us.
