Dwane techincally run the club, but they employ a CEO to do the day to day running of stuff. They employ a CEO for day to day running? Don't they employ Chairman Hamer for this too?

I thought the same, and that Crazy Steve would be out of the door as soon as Invisible Starnes got his feet under the table. Is Crazy still being paid? Anyway - I guess it helps justify the London office the more senior hires you have. It's almost as if we hire these people, and then try and find them jobs to do...

On the "other" site it says we are going to buy land in the fruit market. Better make sure its not a lemon, or it could go Pear shape, but if it is true then we should grape it with both hands

The CEO took Steve Brookfield's place who was brought in when Tony Walota departed there's nothing really unusual in our own recent history of employing somebody to do the club finances, likewise Hamer replaced NH, although he seems to have been a paid Chairman unlike NH, although he may have profited from the sale of the club to DS something Hamer is unlikely to do if the club is ever sold. As far as DS being a vehicle of AJIB there's no evidence they have any interest in the club, whilst Hani is Chairman of the AJIB I doubt he can just instruct them to lend us £15m+ w/o getting the full board of AJIB's approval all of which, apart from Hani, are non Al-Qadi family members.

Why is Wael so edgy, is it because the family have pulled the rug on him and he can't hack it ? Not sure he deserves our sympathy, he has preached some Sh--e since he arrived. All the signals are the family are out of it, blown their dough and he's got to find a new toy.

I'll take that as a 'don't know'.

So Swiss, Ed Ware is the property developer, UWE "was" the new site, but DS put a ridiculous valuation for the club in Autumn 2018 and Wael wanted to stay on board, mainly because a football owner is more sexy than being General Manager in a struggling Middle Eastern Bank. Which bit of this is untrue? That seems like a decent shout to me so this is still my best guess at what is going on. To add some flesh to the guess.....some in the SC and PC seem to want it to happen, and are agitating a bit - partly because they want it to happen, and partly because they have lost confidence in the current regime. What they actually know and what they think they know is all a bit of a soup. Knowall is about the only one who posts in a plausible tone to my ears the implication is that UWE are still open to some kind of deal with a ground. The sticking points have been the AQ/UWE relationship, continuing AQ presence within the leadership at BRFC, and price. Ed thinks he can get past the former, but not yet the latter two. There is a bit of a game of chicken, as is the way of these things. Ed thinks that over the medium term he has the upper hand WAQ still thinks he can deliver something. Many think it'll be a giant leap for him if he can - jumping so much further than any of his predecessors, and doing it part-time when combining it with other roles, most of which are abroad WAQ may be faced with a lot of grumbling and noise, but none of it seems to add up to very much. He doesn't help himself with his vagueness in interviews - it leaves him open to Waelter Mitty/Tim Nice but Dim comparisons, as does the conduct of the AGM (where, based on reports, the requisite choreography was easily foreseeable). It wasn't a stretch to out-fox his accusers though

Assuming it's real, does anyone actually know what The 'Ed Ware Plan' is and how it will leave BRFC better off as after all that is the key point.
At the mont I see tens of millions of reasons why it still won't happen

It wasn't a stretch to out-fox his accusers though Nice. Except. The present site isn't worth what Sainsbury's were contracted to pay. (See previous thread ref Civil Service Club site value at circa £25m) Build costs will have risen. The numbers didn't work even with Sainsbury's money. Fanatical / Knowall just keeps saying stuff, eventually the club will change hands, so eventually, if we all live long enough, we'll all see new owners and a different / rebuilt ground. That of course assumes that the club continues to exist.

And I actually think that makes a lot of sense. Fingers crossed that something 'happens'. Regardless of my opinion on Dwane Sports, the status quo is unsustainable.

The same Steve Hamer who was part of these owners arriving and didn't leak a word to anybody? The same Steve Hamer who would be dismissed immediately and could well face financial ruin if he leaked something that compromised any potential sale of the club? Sure, why not?

Happy Friday morning Padstow That made me laugh when you consider the number of people on here who have said that Wael is hiding behind confidentiality agreements and should reveal all! Seems to be a lot of people agitating at the moment both behind the scenes and at the AGM who seem to be unable to back their claims...... Hope all well

Pretty sure Knowall is heavily connected to Ed Ware, Hamer may support the move as he sees no future under the ALQ's, but I doubt he's Knowall's main source of info. As far as EW, isn't he an MV who the UWE are far more likely to trust than the ALQ's. Although Wael could himself be playing mind games just to try and force EW to pay more for Rovers by claiming he doesn't want to sell. After all what's the ALQ's long term plan without the UWE.
