When we first moved to the Mem we had a scheme which we paid into monthly for the good of the club but I pulled out after a few years. Is it still going? If you mean the share scheme, yes it is still going. There was a trust group as well at one point.

I would estimate £6m as a Stadium and £20m as a building plot. Thanks. That's mad, but until I hear evidence to the contrary, I assume your estimate is roughly thereabouts. Do we know what proportion of BRFC's income is presently derived from Memorial Ground tickets, retail, food, drink, etc?

Do we know what proportion of BRFC's income is presently derived from Memorial Ground tickets, retail, food, drink, etc? Put it this way, in 2004 it was valued at 3.5m as a Stadium and the club couldn’t raise any more against it than that value. I recall that it was revalued higher during Higgs’s reign so 14 years on 6m is an educated guess. The 20m comes from something I was told regarding an ex director and a house builder a year or so ago.

I always got the impression that Wael was a genuine guy but there is now too much evidence to the contrary.
No doubt he is in an awkward position but constantly being led down the garden path like this isn't acceptable. The time for some honesty was 12 months ago, Gasheads on the whole are a good bunch who have been though so much crap over so may years. We deserve better. Can you point me to this "evidence" so i can make a definitive comment on it........ Thanks for your help in this matter Good evening Henbury, going off on a bit of a tangent here … On the p.5 of 'New Stand' thread, on the gaschat forum, you mention that TG has brought in an extra £250K of sponsorship: www.gaschat.co.uk/thread/12657/new-stand?page=5Can you put some more meat on the bones please? How that figure is arrived at: Shirt sponsorship? Stand sponsorship? Anything else? How it's broken down? Asking here as I don't have an account there. Many thanks.

I picked up the information from a facebook group (will try to find it again). The person who posted it sounded if he knew a lot about football club finance (talked a lot about the flow of funds). he said the new stand(s) are self financing by sponsorship deals and seat sales are mostly profit. Also talked about the shirt sponsorship deals with the betting companies being about double what we would get from the previous method of sponsorship Hope this helps Will post a link when i filter out the dross that is facebook

Can you point me to this "evidence" so i can make a definitive comment on it........ Thanks for your help in this matter Where to start? Training ground eligible for Cat2 academy status (cost circa £10m)? Experts who have built not 1 but 12 stadiums? We have a beautiful piece of land? The bollocks about the 100 year plus lease being an issue? Coming in and appointing a top team of genuine experts in the field only to quietly let them go a few months later? Any interview from the past 2 years about pre planning with regards to the training ground when, in fact, there isn't enough money to do anything? Just off the top of my head. If you can point to anything he has said, probably ever, that isn't complete s***e let me know? Is that really evidence or change of circumstance ? I agree with what you say BTW but poor communication from the club has not helped the situation. As regards the Colony, with the change in green belt planning laws, maybe a better way to finance the project by letting some the land out for housing etc He did say he would give DC a five year contract which he did

I sense that development has been mothballed whilst the ALQ's try and find an investor ornjust offload the club.

Or has something got worse in the past 5 months since then.

Leverage the assets in land to develop thus creating enabling funds? Who would have thought it😏😏

I have no knowledge if this is what the club are doing but the people employed by the club to advise specialise in this very thing.

What I dont understand...... You want to buy a football club maybe as a serious business proposition or sadly as a mere plaything You check out insiders information within football and BRFC surfaces You understand there is a very good existing fan base A large city offering more fan potential There is the prospect of a new stadium wanted and expected by the fans for many years However you also know that the club is running with huge annual losses You buy the club THEN claim that the purchase of UWE will not go ahead because of not being able to buy as a freehold concern ....understandably reducing income streams and having to meet landlord obligations This is a banking family with many advisers readily available so why on earth did they make such a fundamental error? NH(&SH?) somehow convinced Wael it was too good an offer to miss and without any Due Diligence Wael convinced Hani it was a good deal? If you look at the time lines it wasn't until Hani got involved after the feasibility study arrived that it all started to go wrong. Before that Wael had employed Currah & co and persuaded Hani to spend £1m+ on the colony. It would have been interesting to be a fly on the wall when Hani first spoke to Wael after the feasibility study arrived &/or he realised the UWE weren't going to play ball! I think you will find a certain Mr Samuelson played a large part in this. I won’t give first name as then it doesn’t break any laws

I don't want to be an ITK, but based on a reliable source, the new Stadium is not going to happen, as they can not secure funding from any source. They are just prepared to sit on the asset in the hope that someone will come forward. DS will not provide the funds. I really trust the source as he was in long conversations at today's game who is definitely ITK. At least I know what the issue is, but this has been suspected for such a long time. Emperor's new clothes. Microphone drop ! I knew you would get there and I mean that in a nice way, no sarcasm at all

No plans to sell: no funds to build a Stadium. Evolution...Darwin's pace. Only one thing left out. A refusal to accept outside funding to add to that vaughan

I really trust the source as he was in long conversations at today's game who is definitely ITK. At least I know what the issue is, but this has been suspected for such a long time. Emperor's new clothes. This has been pretty obvious for some time, even those still in denial know deep down they are kidding themselves. Begs the question that when Wael said funding was no issue and it would be funded through "investments" - was he knowingly trying to mislead or does he just live in a dreamworld? I could pick out numerous other examples. The other question is that when he says the training ground will "definitely happen" is he also misleading us? It appears that there isn't enough funding to build anything halfway suitable. I feel slightly sorry for him but if this is the new reality then he needs to stop this charade right now and come clean because it's getting embarrassing for him. If he went on 20man and gave a brutally honest summary of exactly where we are and how we got to this point and confirmed that he was actively looking for outside investment I would have a whole lot more respect for him than continuing with the nonsense of the past 2 years. I feel there could still be a way back. Begs more questions about the UWE which I have asked before. - Did DS simply not have the funds? - Did DS have the funds didn't didn't have the appitite for the risk? - Was the UWE really not in the long term interests of BRFC or did it just not provide a level of return in the short to medium term the DS required? - Was that level of return remotely realistic? - Have we just missed out on the greatest opportunity any of us are likely to see? None of the above has been satisfactorily answered and in amongst the truths, half truths and, frankly, flat out untruths, I'm not sure how anyone can have any confidence in anything that has been said or is said in the future. A complete and utter farce. All I know of your questions is that DS has access to the money but won’t risk it on us. Also the initial feasibility study came back positive. I think there was even a club article on it, at the time. As you say, there are many examples that could be used. There os a strong rumour that a Southampton based person or business has shown interest for some time but they want to entire 92%. I guess it’s a case of your guess is as good as mine on truth but it has been talked about for a few months now

Hey KP
I wanted to believe: my Uncle Steve H kept telling me not to disbelieve. But dangerous talk within a Directors Box has convinced me. I was texted on Sat evening with the info and the source is the most reliable I would believe. No axe to grind: just info.
I spent last night reading about Foundation of Hearts, their 3 mill funding of their new Main Stand and the anticipated return of 3 million a year from 15 million capital outlay to build a 8,000 capacity stand.
Too much BS from Wael.
I like his demeanour, half believe that he wants to stay but have Kelvin zero confidence that DS will build / redevelop a new Stadium.
