17 shots only 5 on target. They have 6 and 5 on target. What does that tell us?

FFS 17 shots to six, seven corners to one and 59% possession against the bottom team and we still lose? Are we getting the old Bristol Rovers we all know and love (or rather hate) again. Now shipped twelve goals in four games. Simply not good enough. Starting to get worried now.

Hey we lost (again).
At least we gave it a go. We tried. We showed passion and commitment.
Fair enough, results don't seem to be going for us atm, but effort is there.
Next league match is home v Bury.....they've lost millions on the trot and last won in the league when it was warm outside.
What could possibly go wrong?!

A few games ago, there were a sequence of matches where we would start poorly, not dominate in any way, inevitably concede first goal and maybe more, but come good at the end to score late to make a difference.. Today we scored first, started well, dominated large periods of match, defend poorly to lose.. We kinda need a balance. I'm sure we didn't deserve to lose today, it didn't sound like it, and look forward to supporters posts. We tried. It didn't work. Let's move on and try just as hard to win next time..

So currently living off the fat of previous good form. 4 out of 5 games at home in December. Can be turned around before those point differences become the other way round.

Up next on Sunday week a tricky FA Cup home tie with Barrow who have just won 4-1 at Dagenham & Redbridge. Barrow extend their unbeaten run to 18 matches.

Next league opponents - Bury. Who are on the worst run in the league, having lost their last 10. They were 2-0 up home to Millwall and lost 2-3. Gas / Bury. What could possibly go wrong? No need to answer that.

3-2 defeat to a bottom 2 team with one win in ten I'm starting to worry every goal we score we have to work very hard for we never have goals gifted to us through poor defending which is the main reason why we concede it isn't as if we are always caught on the break we have conceded some of the worst goals for many a season something is very wrong somewhere it just doesn't make any sense.

It makes perfect sense and isn't hard to understand, too many changes every week and it looks like nobody amongst the coaching staff is able to organise a defence properly at this level. No need to panic, the manager isn't daft, he'll see what's happening and will have a plan.

I see some positive thoughts in this thread fair play but all these thoughts are surely negated by the fact we cannot defend properly until this is addressed which Clarke doesn't seem to be in any hurry to sort out most teams have a plan B when things are going a bit Pete tong lots of team changes unfortunately we can't go down that road as lots of team changes are our plan A.

We have to defend better, but apart from that, there ain't so much wrong.I realise that's easier typed than done, but that's our goal. Two points off play offs with everything to play for. UTG!

No goals in the 3 previous league games and a defender and sub scoring today might be a pointer...
