Muted at best despite Nick leaving his name until last and trying to ramp it up. Did you stay until the end? Yes, what's that got to do with anything?

The Answer is NATHAN POND of FLEETWOOD TOWN The Club’s longest serving player, has won six promotions in ten seasons during his 12 year Highbury career, played in his seventh different division for the Club which is a Guinness World Record very fishy that story.... he will be making a Rod for his back if he plays well. He could land with a booking if he is not careful He is pond life

Happy to applaud Smudger before and after the game yesterday. A quality player and person. Good luck to him.

Costing the club more money? Are you really for real? Yeah I'm for real tfa. I never said anything about costing the club more money...that wasn't the original point I was making. Really was no need to question my sanity btw. Its actually fine to disagree. Anyway I'm bored of this now so feel free to insult me further as I'll let it slide without insulting you back. Not sure I've questioned your sanity but if you feel I have I apologise. You've obviously decided to hold a grudge against Smudger & even after having the transfer request explained you still try to use it as a reason for that grudge. So not questioning your sanity but questioning your flawed logic.

Supporters can be a sanctimonious lot sometimes. Given a chance to get a better job and/prospects and/or pay and/or conditions most people would move on. Leaving nearly always causes the employers money, in terms of advertising or interviewing or training. Footballers are doing a job after all, and footballers have a limited playing time. And of course in football, agents are involved.

Wonder how some on here reacted when Jon-Jo O'Toole said he wanted away?

I left a company once because the CEO was incompetent, there were no catering facilities, general working conditions werent up to scratch and it was crystal clear the company had a bleak future with no direction and poor team morale. I just wanted a better future for a young family.
Yours unashamedly

My ONLY argument is why he felt the need to hand in a transfer request when the club had already said any player could leave

You seriously believe the club would have turned down a fee for a player when we were in the biggest mess ever and had no money? When have we ever stood in the way of a player wanting to leave to further his career btw?

That doesn't tally with him being free to leave. As for JJO'T, I don't think anyone wanted him to stay. Personally, I wished him well at the time and still do but there'd be no evidence of that online as the Rovers forum was the last place I wanted to be in the weeks following the relegation.

Crater believes he would of left anyway and it's ridiculous that the club saved some money because he handed in the transfer request. Luckily crater won't ever be involved in the running of the club. Wonder if his (future) father in law had an input to the transfer request?
