A winger eh, and a mature one too. Well someone's got to supply Rory with the crosses.

Weird to me that DC didn't want Andy Monkhouse who was doing a job for us but wants another winger of a similar age. Though Lawrence's pedigree is admittedly higher.

Would be a very decent signing at this stage of the season. Fee or no fee!

Monky was also released by Hartlepool the previous summer so perhaps Div 2 football was now beyond him?

Would be a very decent signing at this stage of the season. Fee or no fee! Very good player a few years back. Not convinced he would be a good progressive signing now but in DC we trust.

Perhaps not a progressive signing, but useful experience in a promotion push, especially when people debate the merits of Gosling and Montano being good enough

Paying a fee for a 34 year old? Maybe, but then again maybe not. And even if we do, then the fans will probably never be told.

Got promoted from league two last season and will add valuable experience to our squad in midfield. Would only give him a 1 year deal though being 34. Would be very happy with this if true, however I just hope we can secure Gaffers signature too, sign a back up left back for Browner and a back up/first choice keeper to compete with Mildy then I will then be confident we would be able to seriously challenge for automatic promotion let alone play offs!

It would have to be a minimum 18-month deal, otherwise he would never make it to the end of our first season in League One.

Lawrence has experience of promotion with Mansfield, promotion to Prem with both Sunderland and Stoke City and last season promotion to league one with Shrewsbury. Could he make it five with Rovers ?

From the Bristol Post report . . . Another piece of the jigsaw falls into place then.
