He didn't post it on social media.
With regards to the whole situation, David Pipe got less grief from Gasheads when he fractured someone's skull.
There are a couple who truly despise Ellis and who will take any opportunity to dig at him. It's sad but true Ha ha, bloody hell KP. You're the one who called him "just daft", "very daft", "very naive" and intimated he was a "stupid boy, Pike" and also said about him not expecting people to enjoy it and not have a dig when you post about it"... all before you even knew he was pictured by a fan. Sorry to pick you up again, fella, but you started having a dig at him without knowing the facts.

Having left Bristol at 18 to go to uni and not come back to live, I am now somewhat indifferent to BCFC preferring to get behind the Gas. I can understand bragging rights is important when you go to work, the pub and so on, but when it goes beyond banter and into hatred then it becomes unnecessarily harmful and leads to bubble games, all ticket matches and often over-heavy policing. Chants against other teams when you are surrounded by like-minded people is pointless apart from reinforcing feelings. More chants supporting the team must surely help the team rather than hearing chants against another. How I wish I could take a pint into the ground like I do at rugby, cricket etc, but sadly that's not likely to happen so long as the hatred exists. I really did not enjoy being in the crowd for that testimonial in 2012 with the poison and hatred around me, this even extended to shouts to the player holding presumably his son. I really could not follow the game.

Well I tend to agree with you, Dude, of course he can do what he wants, but the provocation is he is unashamedly in away end. That's enough for some to over react. I'm sure it would be the same all over the football world. If there's a perception he is in any way supporting a football rival, inevitably someone somewhere will be upset at that.. As for Jakey G, I have no idea. I'm not on social media. Maybe the witch hunt will move towards him too? It's all very silly! The unfortunate thing is, I don't think Gos will even have a word said against him.

You really do have a problem with me and so I shall block you. He did post but deleted his posts btw

You have to realise that to a player, mostly its seen as a job/employment, there isn't the same emotion shown by fans.
That said I really don't understand why he didn't just get a ticket in the main stand/players tickets area. Stupid, stupid move to sit in with the sh*teheads if true, if only because it could really have got nasty very easily, also he should be more sensitive to those paying his wages.

Here's my take; speculation I admit, but wouldn't mind betting it's not far off the mark.
- Ellis (and probably other Rovers players) may socialise with some that play for City. - He is probably friendly with players that have also represented Wales (Wes Burns? Born in Cardiff and played for U21s). - Wes Burns was not in the City side that faced Cardiff.
- This was a bubble match. There is no way someone who isn't a City fan would bother buying a ticket in advance, then travelling to a service station en route to the ground to pick the ticket up. - Now, how many footballers do you know that would pay to watch this match? The chances are he was offered complimentary tickets by someone like Burns. Being offered a freebie with your mates is something I can understand.
- So basically it's all down to whoever had the tickets where they sit in the ground. He couldn't walk up to the away end and pay on the night. - It seems to me that Ellis has been stitched up. I expect he expected to be sitting in the players area, then got to the ground to realise he'd been stitched up and was in with the away lot.

Should be honoured, many years on Rovers forums and don't think I've ever been blocked. Ah well, more important things in life than wondering what Mr Polak thinks of me. I think most people if they were called "very daft" and "naive" might take it as a dig (KP certainly would and he'd block them ) but that's his opinion.

Was going to block then but this convinced me. No biggie

That maybe the case but surely there's a unwritten rule in football that you don't go and support your local rivals and, if you do, then you make sure your sat in the stand so you can just appear a neutral observer than a fan of your local rivials? Given the stick EH took about his comments on Twitter following the previous match he knew full well what reaction he'd receive if he was spotted at the game. It really is time he grew up or he could find himself playing non league football again next season.

Harrison and city could be made for each other,he seems to think that he should be playing for a massive club, they think that they are a massive club.. I don't like Harrisons attitude and I will be glad when he moves on.
