So if reports are true, Ellis, Tom and at least one other were at the City v Cardiff game in the City end tonight. Ellis is getting a battering on Facebook and Twitter but the others seem to be getting away with it.

Jake Gosling made up the threesome. I think they should be burnt at the stake before the next home game.

Why on earth would two Welsh players be in with the Bristol Sh*te supporters, did they join in with the less than complimentary songs about the Welsh ? I really have no problem about them going to watch the game or sitting with whoever they like but really where is their sense about making it public ? I mean Tom is from Cardiff, I assume he got out alive ?

Maybe it's a welsh team mate thing as S*head Burns was his teammate?
Maybe Burns will return the favour and watch Ellis?
Then again, maybe not..
I understand all the backlash and controversy, but in the end if he rifles in a last minute winner, all will be forgiven..

As long as our players act professionally and don't get into trouble with the City supporters I can see nothing wrong with them taking in a local match in an improving stadium. We need to concentrate on deliverance of our state of the art stadium, and success on the pitch, not get all bitter and twisted because they were watching City. For the record I thought it was a good game of football.

If anyone wants to retort to Ellis, he should be reminded that he is only following years of tradition watching both Bristol teams....as he's not good enough to get a starting place, he can watch us from the bench!

The most over the top reaction to a complete non-story ever. Our fans are terrible at times.

The most over the top reaction to a complete non-story ever. Our fans are terrible at times. While I agree, him flaunting that sticker was a bit insensitive Looks like he was done with the old 'pat on the back with a post-it sticker saying knob trick' (but with a City sticker), that was all the rage back at school. Difficult to pick your way through all the posts on the 'Appreciation' facebook page. Tom Lockyer & Jake Gosling get mentions, and one person even claims Jermaine Easter was at the game. Looks like Tom Lockyer posted on Twitter he was at home playing computer games, but even if Tom & Jermaine did go they were born in Cardiff and I'm sure both follow the fortunes of CCFC. The only player you do see in a photo is Ellis and even then it's not clear where he is. Lots of Rovers & City players have socialised over the years, and it was mentioned on here last year that ex-City players (Mickey Tanner / Trevor Tainton Brian Drysdale) have been to Rovers away games.

Whilst I don't think going to the game is a killing offence, I think Ellis can be very naive at times and his use of Twitter is just daft at times. By all means go watch the game but don't expect people to enjoy it and not have a dig, when you post about it. Very daft lad. I am surprised DC hasn't got rules on use of social media, maybe he has but I am unaware of it ? Stupid boy Pike !

With regards to the whole situation, David Pipe got less grief from Gasheads when he fractured someone's skull.
