So Jon the Stripe was talking rubbish and the totally unfounded rumours were.....totally founded. And some people wonder why football people are held in such contempt. Jon - thanks for being brave enough to front up and break the existence of this group. It left you exposed, despite the caveats that accompanied the breaking of the news. I applaud you. What?

Back on the serious stuff - It is my understanding talks will take place today (if any delays it will be later this week) after much due dilligence & a new development came to light last week - it is my opinion a type of Poker has been played the last month and the cards have finally been laid on the table! Let's hope whatever the outcome it's right for the club we love cause our immediate and long term future could be being decided as we speak - UTG!!!

A spokesperson for Northampton Town said the talks had already moved onto other interested parties and the club was in “advanced discussions” with other representatives. So are Rovers the other "interested party" or is the timing a pure conincidence?

Reading the article and related comment - it's not clear whether this "mystery consortium" ever even existed! One comment made me laugh though: " There is one significant consistency in this almighty mess namely Cardoza's arrogance towards communicating to Cobblers fans and his constant ability dating back to Boothroyd's time and the proposed Rugby League venture of being liberal with the truth ". Remind you of anyone?

That, right there, is what makes the internet such a brilliant thing.

I still think we should knock down the South or Centenary Stand and replace it with a Manatee tank.

You have been kept up-to-date as much as humanly possible by Jon the Stripe.
Some of you either want to take the P*ss or ask to be "in the room".
Probably the most important set of negotiations in our entire history, but let's wade through tripe eh?
BTW I am not "in the know", but I just wanted to pay credit to someone who has been lambasted on both forums for sticking their proverbial head above the parapet, more than our useless local journalists are ever capable of doing.

I totally agree but my question is when did NH confirm it as has been suggested eleswhere?
