You have been kept up-to-date as much as humanly possible by Jon the Stripe. Some of you either want to take the P*ss or ask to be "in the room". Probably the most important set of negotiations in our entire history, but let's wade through tripe eh? BTW I am not "in the know", but I just wanted to pay credit to someone who has been lambasted on both forums for sticking their proverbial head above the parapet, more than our useless local journalists are ever capable of doing. I totally agree but my question is when did NH confirm it as has been suggested eleswhere? "I can confirm we've had talks regarding potential take overs" - Nick Higgs.

"I can confirm we've had talks regarding potential take overs" - Nick Higgs. Cheers if memory serves it was a few months back that he confirmed that Rovers had received 'approaches'
there might, or might not, be a material difference between 'approaches' and 'talks' IMO

Agreed, wasn't it suggested those talks were with the guy who eventually moved on to Oxford? Whilst he may have had the odd £1m spare i doubt he had the £30m+ needed to build the UWE, so perhaps NH was right to turn down his approaches.

From the little I knew of this, I believe Nick Higgs went back to him after the first refusal but he had already invested into Oxford. There was so much information/disinformation being put out at that time that it's very difficult to know what the truth of it really was but I do believe this was a pivotal point where NH and GD relationship started to get frosty. I remember NH getting quite upset, when the story got out,he was on TV saying that he was surprised information got out as there were the now standard confidentiality clauses in place. I guess we will never know.

Seems Mr Lansdown has his cheque book out again, I hear he has bought the land around the soon to be closed Wyck DIY store outside of trashton gate for extra parking.

Hearing Geoff Dunford is planning a Milkitary Coup d'elatte. I have often wondered if Geoff has really let go. It seems to me that he, along with a few others, who profess to not have anything to do with the club, keep on and on about it.

I thought that he had recently been made a life Vice President, still a major shareholder, still has a large loan in place and attends most games? I would say that he has a lot to do with the club.

I totally agree but my question is when did NH confirm it as has been suggested eleswhere? "I can confirm we've had talks regarding potential take overs" - Nick Higgs. Must be true then! Where is the link to prove he said it. Just putting quotes on a sentence does not make it true - or was this a joke?

Thought he said said that in his recent ITV interview going on to say none were consider suitable for Rovers, you have to think one came from Jed McCrory?
