Except when Ricky smashed one past Basso ... And pretty important and memorable that was! Which would I prefer.... let me see .....um semi final leading to Wembley or meaning less friendly. I think I know which GJ would rather win.

We're also being outbid on players, I spoke to Keanu Marsh-Brown the other day, he's recently signed for FGR for over 300k plus add ons, before the FGR bid, he was in talks with rovers but couldn't agree the fee, he wanted to come as he's known Parkes for quite some time and is pretty close with Matty Taylor and montano! It's not only our budget that is holding us back but you have to remember there are still a number of clubs in League two and conference that are willing to throw money at it for success! We will get the right players with the right attitude instead of players holding. Out for bigger deals, players with the will and passion to play! I personally like DC's transfer workings and I believe he'll bring in the right men!

Thank god for that. Are you serious that KMB needed 300k to sign for League 2? Blimey, read the Barnet forum and they are glad to see him go. Thankfully we haven't signed him at that price. Don't care who he's friends with! An awful lot of money flying about. Probably Cambridge have it, not sure about Notts Co. We don't have it so we can't spend it. I think it's simple, sure others don't agree. But hey, all about opinions. Have to admit that price for KMB has staggered me.

I don't believe Keanu Marsh-Brown's fee was £300k for a second.

Would you believe anything a poster with just 1 previous post said?? Regardless it's the fact we're still a couple of players short which is a worry not who has turned us down.

That was the fee that he told me, you may not believe it but I work in Stroud, set up his contract on a phone and obviously with me being a football fan was Intruiged to be serving a pro footballer and I did some enquiring, he told me about how Parkes and Taylor tried to persuade him to come, but that Barnet and rovers couldn't agree on a fee so he went to somewhere that was willing to pay the price tag, whether or not you believe me is up to you guys, I'm only going by what I've been told by the player himself.

If that's true and if you were privy to that fair enough. But it just proves that if people are prepared to pay that then the lunatics have taken over the asylum!

FGR trying to buy promotion, hope they fail. Don't like them at all since Dale Vince or is it Vince Dale arrived.

Just read this on the other forum.
I've just heard the strangest news on our new physio. Apparently he does not hold the correct certificates to work in the Football league and so is unable to go on the pitch on match days. The club wil use a doctor at the moment.
what wasn't clear is if the club knew this before appointing him or an oversight

That is a strange one to say the least but this is the Rovers if if he needs the relevant qualifications, that will take years so I can't see that rumour being right.

He's a "sports therapist" basically he's done a sports therapist degree rather than the usual, and probably more difficult to qualify, physiotherapist route.
The fact Cheltenham stuffed us doesn't bode well for his new fitness training regime and Kidderminster have hardly set the Conference alight in recent times.

Presumably if he's not a qualified physio then we're still looking for one?

If he is a `sports` physio he has already got the higher qualifications so no problem. That is the harder route. Going by what has been said he is just an ordinary physio. So he needs a First degree and a postmasters graduate degree in `sports` physiotherapy. God knows what you are on about with the second line.

You are thinking Sports Therapists which are not Sport Physiotherapists. Sports Therapists are much less qualified. Google it mate and it will become clear
