Funny ol' game. Reckon if the results were the same but we came back from one down to equalise n 88th minute we would likely be praising the " never stay die" attitude of the team? Just a thought. I wouldn't. Terrible tactics and team set up. Hoof, hoof, against a hoof a hoof team of part timers. Rubbish

But we weren't? We were 1-0 up and three minutes from almost nailed on promotion as champions and we've let one in. Hardly surprising for people to be massively deflated. Yep accept that- as I am. Just playing devils advocate on how the same result (which would give us the same need for a result next week) might have been viewed differently under different circumstances. We would have likely been viewed as just as s**te overall but ended on an upbeat note. Anyway....onwards to next week.

Are you enjoying yourself? No, not at all. Don't try to turn the emphasis onto me, it's not my fault we can't beat Dover.

I'm a massive fan of Clarke but selecting Puddy over Mildenhall is a mistake. He's a decent shot stopper but highly error prone as we've seen the last few weeks. It was a matter of time before an error was made that would prove highly significant and we've seen that today. Experience is vital this time of the season and Mildenhall must be recalled. I disagree, DC's only big mistake this season was dropping Puddy in the first place. You're telling me Puddy is a better keeper than Mildenhall? He's gifted one to Dover today, laid one on a plate for Macclesfield and Chester in recent weeks. Infact he's made numerous individual mistakes when he's been between the sticks that we've got away with. He's a decent back up at this level but nothing more. I for one wouldn't be feeling confident with him in goal in a play-off situation.

Not for the first time this season one individual mistake has cost us. Not putting away and scoring enough goals has cost us! Puddy will get the blame today just like Mildenhall did a couple of weeks ago for making 1 mistake Yet our forwards can miss countless clear cut chances over the season and get praised! Agreed and is right to a point but you can't argue against the fact that an individual mistake has cost us again. Not for the first time this season. If it stayed 1.0 the line up/ tactics would obviously not be mentioned. But obviously the lack of goals has been the main cause of our failings?!!

Understand deflated feelings, we can't beat Dover home or away. So what? They haven't beat us. Yea yea part time team bla bla bla....like someone said before, it isn't my fault we didn't win, or we are where we are. But can anyone remember a time where we won every single match in a season? We are in play offs minimum. Disappointed? You carry on....I'm gonna cheer us on next week and beyond. You do what the flip you want, we are 2nd with a chance to be top by this time next week. Even at Xmas, no one gave us that reality bite..

Mildly has made some errors as well mind but I would I bring him back for the final game? I wouldn't like to say. It depends whether Puddys confidence is shot after today.

That DC is the worst manager in history, is totally to blame for a season where he managed 8 games and didn't do any recruitment, will be to blame if we don't go up, but will be due 0 credit if we do. Saved you the trouble Bamber mate, crack open a beer.

The difference between Mildenhall has made the odd mistake whereas Puddy generally makes one every game. Surely you go with experience at this time and someone who will want to come back and prove a point.

If we'd battered them and come up short then we could blame the fickle finger of fate, but one shot on target in 90 mins is just unacceptable.

Expected dissapointment, its in a gas heads DNA! Predicted we would draw, but its a bad draw having been so close. We have another chance next week. If we miss out on automatic promotion so be it, its our own short comings, nothing to do with luck that's the reason.
We are a better side now than when we played fgr and Eastleigh. They won't want to play us and we must make our home games intimidating and hostile for them like never before. Let's focus on what is in our control.
I didn't expect Barnet to draw today, so bonus. Someone said Akinde was booked, does that mean anything? They struggle without him.

Maybe so. So did Martin Allen. We are where we were before the game started.

Barnet must be more gutted than us, they could have won the league today and enjoyed next week.

They were looking over shoulders us winning and them being in second place with us "only" having a face a bottom placed club next week. They are now in pole position with Gateshead already on the beach by the looks of it. I think it is out of our hands and Barnet's to lose. A real pity.
