Barnet must be more gutted than us, they could have won the league today and enjoyed next week. Sorry but that's not the case at all. The general feeling is that we got away with it today, it's got the feeling of a win. Yes we could have won the league today but no one cares. Just excitement and impatience for next week now.

Barnet must be more gutted than us, they could have won the league today and enjoyed next week. I disagree. They were looking over shoulders us winning and them being in second place with us "only" having a face a bottom placed club next week. They are now in pole position with Gateshead already on the beach by the looks of it. I think it is out of our hands and Barnet's to lose. A real pity. I disagree! They only looked over their shoulders when they went behind; and we scored. But as it stands nothing has changed and all the pressure is on them next week as they've lost to nonchalant teams at home this season. If we win, lose or draw we'll still be in playoffs and have nothing to lose! So the gutted ball must be in their court as they've missed one chance and who knows, may miss another?

Heard you were desperate today .... dirty tactics , could easily have been down to nine players.... against a seriously poor team.
Lets hope Gateshead are up for it next Saturday .... We will be !!

If we'd battered them and come up short then we could blame the fickle finger of fate, but one shot on target in 90 mins is just unacceptable. Even tho we had a few attempts on goal I thought the side looked an attacking one on paper. Listening on the radio it sounded like we played the old hoofball which we don't need to do. Keep it on the deck and we look good with goals in the team. Disappointed doesn't come close to the reality.

Credit to you, barnetfaninpeace. May the best team win it. It's good for the both of us and the neutral and everything we've both battled for this season. I think we both have every reason to be optimistic and relish next Saturday..

No, not at all. Don't try to turn the emphasis onto me, it's not my fault we can't beat Dover. Never said it was. You just seem to have enjoyed the moment. As if you wanted Clarke to fail. Clarke already has failed, he got us relegated, remember? Any half decent manager, with that defence and with the resources at his disposal would have had this pitiful division won weeks ago.

Nerves got to them in the first half and our keeper could have gotten sent off in the second. But we dominated the second half but Kiddy threatened with the counter. Might've even lost it. We had our chances to win it though. What a story that would've been...

Well martin alien (!) had a huge advantage at start of the year, and considered no doubt a decent manager. With half the resources. Now as it stands, statistically he is the best manager of this division and even he cant win promotion with weeks to spare. Thanks for being honest, bamber, but whom do you think could've won it for us by now? (if appointed a year ago)

You're telling me Puddy is a better keeper than Mildenhall? He's gifted one to Dover today, laid one on a plate for Macclesfield and Chester in recent weeks. Infact he's made numerous individual mistakes when he's been between the sticks that we've got away with. He's a decent back up at this level but nothing more. I for one wouldn't be feeling confident with him in goal in a play-off situation. I have to agree with you on that one. He just doesn't fill you with confidence when you watch him play. Mildly has made some errors as well mind but I would I bring him back for the final game? I wouldn't like to say. It depends whether Puddys confidence is shot after today. What I'm saying is, when he dropped Puddy he had done nothing to deserve it, why do you think DC dropped Mildenhall ?

He was dropped on the basis that Mildenhall is a better keeper which still remains the case. I hope to see the latter back between the sticks on Saturday and going in to the play-offs.

There are plenty of managers who could have won the trophies that they have with a £2,000,000,000 budget to blow (yep, they have lost £2 billion quid since Abramovich arrived). But it takes something 'special' to have more resources than your competition and still come up short time after time.

I hope we can find a more reliable keeper than both Mildenhall and Puddy next season, although it would be better if we could just score enough so that individual errors do not have such an impact! Could Adam Federici be an option?

And I look at Clarke and the way he set the team up. Taylor stranded and completely ineffectual for 65 minutes, long ball to Blissett who hardly won a thing but we just kept doing it, no midfield pushing up behind the two up front until the second half, absolutely no width whatsoever until the last 20 minutes which then exposed the lack of pace in Dover's defence. A team brimming with confidence and determination would have gone out to win, and win handsomely. We played like a team scared to lose. 16 draws, many against very average conference teams. I dont

All this nonsense about Goalkeepers!
Mildenhall and Puddy have made about 4 crucial mistakes over the course of the WHOLE season, and they are getting pelters!
Look at it logically it's Matty Taylor and Nathan Blisset(Who cost more than this entire squad), who should be getting the brunt of it!
