Agreed Logan was brilliant for us! Jumping in the away end after that smash & grab 1-0 win at Yeovil was a classic! Not to mention his pen save away at Notts Cheaty! Shame it was all in vain, in the end!

So far I have a squad that would include Anderson (best goalie even if on loan) smudger, brown, steve Elliot, parkes, lines, sinclair Campbell , muzzy, obviously lambert, matt Taylor, Richard walker (he did score at this level), Disley, Lord Byron. Never quite got the love in with Andersen, average keeper who played to the crowd and occasionally threw his gloves into the crowd. Conrad Logan was a far superior keeper, choosing to sign Bevan over him was a disgrace.

Tom Parkes is certainly better than any Centre Back we've had over the last 10 years
I also think Lee Brown is the best left back we've had for almost 20 years, Andy Gurney was good and Matt Lockwood I thought was superb(cant believe we let him on a free), but Lee Brown is the best since then
If my memory serves me correctly the Left backs since have been Trevor Challis, Scott Jones, Ijah Anderson, Robbie Ryan, Chris Carruthers, Joe Jacobson, and Gary Sawyer. Lee Brown is certainly better than that lot

It's a shame Parkes will be remembered for playing in what will go down as the worst side in Rovers history

Hard for me to comment living overseas as I've only seen him play a few times but i'm glad you feel that way about him and certainly shows how much he has got his career back on track the past 10 months. Hopefully if we can get promotion this year we can still be talking about the likes of Parkes and Lee Brown in 5 years as current players.

You are a Gashead - remember if we get promoted either the manager will go or the assets -namely Brown and Parkes, get sold. I don't think there are many Steve Bull's left in football!

For us id say Neil Etheridge is the best keeper we have had in recent times Conrad Logan probably won us the most points How about Fraser Forster?

In answer to the original post, I'm probably alone in preferring Lee Mansell to Stuart Campbell.
Lee Brown is probably the best left back I can remember in over 40 years of watching Rovers (but then memory is fading!).
The Tom Parkes of this season also compares with any of the central defenders we've had over the last 10 years (I'd probably go for Parkes and Elliot as the 2 central defenders).

It's so hard to rate the current squad due to the opposition. The time we get on the ball is immense, the threat often almost non existent. With the right attitude, a massive ask I know, but almost any of the players at the club ten years ago, in a relatively organised side, would win this league by twenty points. If we win the last two games, we will have secured 37 points from 15 games. That form over a season equates to over 111 points.. The players selected have done well but the standard is dreadful......lets get out and consign it to history before we think it's in any way acceptable or this squad compares with the past. Let them prove themselves next season, in the football league.

If you're talking about a first XI - maybe Brown at left back from the current lot. And Stu for his bloody tirelessness.
4-3-3
Phillips
Smith Hinton Elliott Brown
Sinclair Campbell Disley
Walker (R) Lambert Hoskins
