Me and the Dad spoke to Jermaine before the game and he's having a scan this week. He was walking fine to me. That doesn't sound good.

Scan read bits of this thread ... All I can say I as a previous known moaner of board, Mangers and the club in general ,its bloody great to see games like today, it was tight for the first half but i love the fact DC and the team dont panic, i say it often to fans around me , if we just play Our football we will WIN our games , our squad isn't awesome but its better then every team we now face the same as it was today, we didn't panic we just played untill the class gulf came to be proved ,we dominated Today IMO a few scares yes but that will happen. But lines led the midfield and sprayed the ball about well, bliss whilst never looking amazing fought battled and caused confusion,Ellis finished like Ellis can, mcrystal and Parkes were Typically demanding and solid , brown was superb, just a great team effort... Again .. Just like Friday, 8 goals in two games we are bang in form & the Look on the team and DC tells me its gonna be a top effort from our team , we cant do more than that ... Great support UTG

Useless Dartford. That's them relegated and it's all they deserve. 90 mins of football and all they can manage are 3 attempts at goal, zero on target. Goodbye, and on the way out, don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you. Given the amount of times that relegated clubs get reprieves in this lge I reckon it's, 1 - good to be careful who we say 'goodbye' to and how, and 2 - means that even clubs in the bottom 4 should keep on fighting to get up the table just in case

Lots weaker I would imagine, from the day we were relegated and DC gave his post match interview I was convinced he would do everything he could to get us back to the FL and if it doesn't happen for whatever reason this season he has guided the side to one defeat in 27 games which at any level is special. With Marcus and Steve having so much passion for the club it has made for a decent team with different strengths, qualities and experience. I know Yatesy is seen as the kit man but to have someone like him in and around the bench each week is invaluable IMO. I think it's about time the club make a proper announcement regarding Steve Yates. I know he does a combined role of Kitman/Coach, but i think he should ditch washing the kit, and be give the proper title of first team coach. He has been a great presence on the bench, and is involved alot with the fitness and defensive work in training, both have been excellent this season. Scooter played nearly every game of the title winning team of 1989/90, where we only lost 5 times and let in 35 goals. We currently have lost only 5 and let in 33. It wouldn't be fanciful to suggest we might not lose any more. Coincidence?

Full house Sat? Glad I got my tickets. Southport lost 0-3 at home to relegated Telford to-day so hopefully a big score..Yabba Dabba Dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh Sticking my neck out here but sadly don't think we'll a sellout this season, unless maybe we go into alfreton needing only a draw or win to get the title. Can't see Southport being much more than a bank holiday crowd vs chester (who brought 350-ish; Southport won't). Even alfreton might not sellout as we will presumably have nearly the whole capacity to ourselves! Circa 11,700?

It was DC who said it at the start of the season, and again only a few weeks ago. I'm not going to trawl the internet looking for DC quote links, but Ward never played him as a striker and certainly never said he was one either. I can feel your disappointment at todays result. The cult of DC. What a complete & utter w you are. Over the moon with today's result, very nervous in the first half but the boys came through in the second half. Please let me know what facts I got wrong in my previous post ? Was it the 92nd or 94th minute that Ellis saved DFs arse before being frozen out? www.not606.com/threads/harrison-to-be-used-as-a-striker.228615/this is link contains a quote attributed to JW used in the Post in 2013. It shows Wardy saw Ellis as a winger who he might use up front if he had to. However, since the majority of EHs youth team matches for Rovers were as a striker I don't think DC can be seen as the first person at the club to recognise he is a striker first, winger second....Curtis, Walsh & co knew that! DC prefers to play round pegs in round holes and so all things being equal, will play Harrison more often as a front man than a wide man...but you have to be flexible when your options are limited and there may come a time when wingers are in short supply or too off form to be considered ahead of him. Of course in DC's first game it was Harrison who provided the only decent cross of the game in the last minute for Mohamed to head in...and in his post match interview he alluded to the fact he thought it was Santos! After that though I think you have to be fair to DC and recognise that if he does not see EH as a winger but as a striker and then look at the relative league experience available in the squad in the strikers position then you are going to play two of Harrold, Gillespie, Clarkson & Beardsley ahead of him if you are scrapping for your lives and want to select " horses for courses". Even Mohamed had played more Football League games up front than Harrison had! So the "freezing out" was to some extent natural. The placing of Ellis on the transfer list I put down to the fact that DC had only ever really seen him when his "head wasn't quite right"...all that baggage over Ellis coincided with DC's arrival so he never saw the Ellis that burst on the scene, listened to what his manager said and earned that three year contract in the first place. It may have taken the best part of two seasons to straighten out but at least it has been!

He certainly does but I wouldn't under estimate what an effect Marcus Stewart has had on Harrison this season, during games this season the two have had lots of one on one conversations prior to coming on as sub and coming off, I would imagine Marcus has spent a long time with him this season as a prolific ex striker, for me the set up of Clarkey, Stewy and Steve Yates make a great team. How much weaker would it be if you removed the novice and left the 2 experienced pros? Are you for real? or are you the only idiot in the village
