The most positive of all the positives that have come our way this season, is the difference in performance of Ellis Harrison from this time last season to now. If you can recall his form and attitude from that time, then I'm quite certain that most people would agree that he has become a revelation. Ignore whether or not he should be starting each game, and concentrate on what he is actually achieving. And for me the reasons for this quite startling improvement is down to two factors. Firstly the player himself, and secondly the manager and his staff. How long is remaining on his contract, does anyone know? Dead right - there is more to management than selecting the team - there is also Man- Management which DC seems to have in bundles

Ellis missed most of last season due to off-field problems. But that didn't stop him getting slated on forums and branded a 'bust flush'. I wonder how many on here would have gone through what he did and still perform at the peak of their ability in their job.
He's a young man with a decent future in the game ahead of him.

Lots weaker I would imagine, from the day we were relegated and DC gave his post match interview I was convinced he would do everything he could to get us back to the FL and if it doesn't happen for whatever reason this season he has guided the side to one defeat in 27 games which at any level is special. With Marcus and Steve having so much passion for the club it has made for a decent team with different strengths, qualities and experience. I know Yatesy is seen as the kit man but to have someone like him in and around the bench each week is invaluable IMO.

I think it's about time the club make a proper announcement regarding Steve Yates. I know he does a combined role of Kitman/Coach, but i think he should ditch washing the kit, and be give the proper title of first team coach. He has been a great presence on the bench, and is involved alot with the fitness and defensive work in training, both have been excellent this season.

Just got home, great second half and thank god for the second goal I nearly had a heart attack at 1 0 Everyone played their part but I still don't get monkhouse,is he just on as a target man for goal kicks? He's doesn't do a lot and makes brown so all the leg work down the left I know he's scored a few in the last couple of weeks but think it is a week link down the left when we need more crosses in the box Utg

If Ellis gets a decent move to a league 1/championship club he owes a lot to DC, last season Ellis career looked like it was going to end before it even really started. DC said in the summer that Ellis is never going to be a winger and is a Striker, lets not forget that the position that John Ward & others always played him out wide. DC then starved Ellis of starts for 70% of the season, made him hungry and determined, built his confidence as a super sub and he's shown he has a bright future. DC could have chucked him the deep end like Ward did with Ellis last season, started him every week, he could have struggled and ended up like Brunt, warming a bench every week on loan at somewhere like Exeter or Newport. Ellis is only 20, he had a horrendous season last year, he needed looking after and easing back into the team like alot of young players do. Too many on here think the season is over at Xmas, the progress of DC, the backroom team, and every member of the squad has been special this season, and a pleasure to watch. Lucky we didn't rip up his contract then...

I'd start Taylor Harrison, said that a few weeks ago.Great result, back to form. Genuinely fancy us, Barnet must drop points in a game, they're scraping by. A matter of opinion but the only one that counts is the guy who has got us challenging for top spot - who lots of so called fans wanted to get rid of early on.

Lets be honest I didn't read all your crap. But to state facts John Ward said Ellis was a striker not a wide player. Not DC. In DC first game he won with a 93rd winner from um Ellis Harrison who was then frozen out of the squad by DC. Hey why let facts get in the way of your prejudice. But fair play to DC today made a big call dropping Matt Taylor & it worked out

I'm not going to trawl the internet looking for DC quote links, but Ward never played him as a striker and certainly never said he was one either. I can feel your disappointment at todays result.

I was sitting along the side, the fans around me were mostly Barnet fans or silent with no colours so couldn't tell. Second half when I moved seats, there were Barnet fans standing opposite. The impression I had was there were more Barnet fans than Dartford but it's hard to tell when the Darts were so quiet. becbee Posts: 3726 Joined: 22 Jan 2011, 11:43 HISTORY HERE SURELY !! more of us than them!!!![bumble fc]

The cult of DC. What a complete & utter w****r you are. Over the moon with today's result, very nervous in the first half but the boys came through in the second half. Please let me know what facts I got wrong in my previous post ? Was it the 92nd or 94th minute that Ellis saved DFs arse before being frozen out?

Me and the Dad spoke to Jermaine before the game and he's having a scan this week. He was walking fine to me.
