Playing at a neutral ground like Oldham's Boundary Park will surely suit us more than it would Halifax? Although if ours and Barnet's games are both postponed next week then it could be an interesting end to the season if Halifax have to play us both in a week in late April?

Oldham are at home on the Saturday we play Halifax.
Maybe Stockport could be an option? Not actually sure where Halifax is tbh...

Halifax is near to Burnley, but Bradford and Leeds and Huddersfield aren't that far away. Glad I read this as I was going to Halifax,I will wait and see whats decided first.

I don't think Stockport would be on the cards as it's not that easy to get at from Halifax on public transport due to being South of Manchester. More likely somewhere around North Manchester; Oldham, Rochdale or Bury. That's assuming that they wouldn't be allowed to play a 'home' game at their nearest rival for security concerns because otherwise Huddersfield or Bradford probably makes the most sense from their point of view. Think it's unlikely though - I'd have thought they'd be moving heaven and earth to make sure they played at home for this one.

There's quite a number of football grounds in the Halifax area, should their pitch be unplayable, but the stand-out choice for me would be Gigg Lane. The fact that I've never been there has nothing to do with my suggestion by the way. But seriously, why is their ground possibly unplayable, does anyone know for certain?
It surely can't be just the elements, can it?

Probably on the phone to a builders merchants looking for a few tonnes of sand to dump all over the pitch.

Bradford is closest, then Leeds, but there are some other non league grounds near, such as Droylsden or Bradford Park Avenue. Cant think they would go to Bury or Oldham, they are both in Lancashire !!

Seriously? I presume the rugby is league which would do no more damage than a football game. Anyway we were told relentlessly before we started in this league that the Conference board don't allow any messing around. So I'm sure they are on the case .....
Anyone know the story on FGR points deduction?

Anyone know the story on FGR points deduction? Once upon a time, Forest Green Rovers were deducted three points for fielding an ineligible player. And everybody lived happily ever after.
