Sorry to ruin this thread for everyone but with spring like weather forecast for this weekend and then only light showers forecast for Tuesday next week in Halifax surely, with a decent covering of sand, the pitch will be playable for next Saturday? Then with a bit of luck we can really mess the pitch for the Barnet match!

should move it to Huddersfield. Haven't been there since Worrell Sterling scored that screamer.

I want to go to The Shay so I hope it isn't moved, but if it is moved Man City's spare ground adjacent to the Etihad might be an option? It's barely used by all accounts.

So, are they natural hills behind or has someone actually managed to make a mountain out of a molehill?

So, are they natural hills behind or has someone actually managed to make a mountain out of a molehill? I would get DC up there scouting and watching as many of those droylsden players as possible. Imagine their ball control and dribbling skills after a few months playing on that. We might end up with Mildenhall and 10 Adam Dawsons!

Couple of points... -It wouldn't be used as it doesn't have ground grading. -It's actually starting be used a reasonable amount for reserve, youth and through the summer the Women's team. -Manchester City wouldn't allow it.

Ran the line at the old Huddersfield ground and was gob -smacked to discover our very own Wayne Jones was their Physio. When I went to Leeds Road it was for an evening game, and my first sight of the playing surface was from the stands with the floodlights switched on. It seemed to be a huge playing surface and very well presented, almost manicured. I think that the stadium went the same way as Eastville, turned into a shopping outlet. It's sad really, because although modern stadiums have the advantage of being state of the art in appearance, they have no soul or personality.
