....and all the doubters? We have gone on a remarkable unbeaten run. Some, not perfect results, some well deserved. A long way to go. Come on, a great result, one some of you were waiting for us to lose, so where can you give credit today, if you consider yourself Gas? Go on, I dare you....give credit where its due...?

you mistake critisism of box 1 and the team as the same - on pitch = good / off pitch - shambles

I've always assumed that coastalgas holds his allegiance south of the river, given his persistent anti-Rovers ramblings.
Their result today might explain his silence, but time will tell I'm quite certain.

Oh put your bollocks back into your pants.
The manager and team deserve all the credit due to them for a decent run. Real success will be ending this b'stard period of being known across the footballing world as a non league football club.

The time to be triumphant is whan we've secured promotion. Just looking at those stats, Barnet's away form seems to be their achililes heal and if they continue, will give us the chance to catch them.

But I would go one further, the job isn't done until we are back at our historical level and where we were when Higgs arrived, towards the top end of the 3rd tier. So we scrape a 1-0 win over established Conference team Grimsby, so what, they have also been turned over at home this season by Macclesfield Town, Lincoln City (remember them from last week? Pub team), Kidderminster Harriers, Southport and Torquay. Jeez, the way the happy clappers are celebrating I had to check yesterday's results, I thought we have just returned, triumphant after a 8-0 away win at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.

So what is Grimsby's historical level, not conference.
Both teams are conference, fact.

So what is Grimsby's historical level, not conference. Both teams are conference, fact. Until their relegation from the Football League, Grimsby always seemed to me to be a solid kind of League 2/3 kind of team, and a team that gave us some good games from the 1950s onwards. They have had some excellent players over the years, and always seemed to give a good account of themselves until debt crept in. It's true that we are now both in the Conference, but we haven't always been, and both Grimsby and ourselves have made a worthwhile contribution to the game. As have both Wrexham and Lincoln by the way, who may well be down among the dead men at present, but to those who remember them in their Football League days always provided good opposition.

No, my morning toast, toasted correctly, not burned in an Argos Econo toaster, and spread with a generous topping of St Dalfour Rhapsidie de Fruit Blackcurrant was delicious, washed down with a cup of black Medium Roast filter. The issue is the people who seem to think we have just won the World Cup and are running around in circles with their little todgers out. Sadly for them, here's the reality, we have a manager who got us relegated out of the entire League, he couldn't manage 90th position, now, along with his assistant, (who it's worth noting is vastly more experienced), we are towards the top of a division in which a third of the teams aren't even full time we are told that we should celebrate. No thanks, when we are back in the 3rd division it will be time to pat backs and congratulate people, until then all we are doing is taking the first steps towards putting right the disaster concocted by the board, Ward and Clarke.

Clarke was the assistant manager for 38 games out of 46, and did not purchase or offer contracts to any of the players under contract last season.
I agree with you that we shouldn't be throwing parties yet, and that the side has so far achieved nothing. But the buck stops with the manager and those signing the cheques, not a young assistant with no coaching experience in league football who was thrown to the wolves.

Agreed that is what we call real success, no one is arguing that, the thrust of the thread is to give credit where it's due. Not just about the result, about how we accomplished it, away, to a team whom were one place below us and the manner of our victory. I'm not out to change opinions. We all have them. Just asking that some of you so called gasheads should hold your heads in shame as cannot come back with anything positive after arguably one of the best results of season, yet when we don't win the board is buzzing within an hour of final whistle. SUPPORT the team for f sake..

People cant be happy that we have closed the gap to four points and have a good chance of going straight back up. Yeah we shouldnt have got this low, but if we cant be happy about team doing what we want it to, we might as well all give up. Off the field, yeah there are a lot of things that need sorting and the future of the club has a big question mark, but lets try and enjoy something that seems to be going in the right direction Of course i forget someone other than pub team manager Clarke would have already one the title wouldnt they?

Too many fans at too many clubs think history dictates they should be doing better. Man U, Liverpool, Villa to name 3 at the top, someone near us for one in Div 1. I hope to be at this week's game and see a win. Will then see a 15 year old, a 13 year old and myself happy. Win the league and we will celebrate, get to Wembley and we will be there. No thoughts of the highs and lows over the years, enjoy the moment.
