Ground 253 tomorrow, going to Worcester City against Brackley Town at Bromsgrove's Victoria Ground. Quite looking forward to it, saw a couple of Worcester's games in their FA Cup run a couple of years ago. Real shame they're homeless at the moment after leaving St George's Lane. It was a fantastic old ground...

We're going to Easter Road on Sunday for the first time. "While I'm worth my room on this earth..." Love that place, and the sun always shines there

I saw Worcester City play Stockport early in their season - they looked like a side that is doomed to relegation in that league which is a shame given everything they have going against them.

They were very daft, sold up St George's Lane for not enough money to cover the new ground.

Truly fantastic news, I'll be going to Harland and Wolff Welders Reserves as an early kick off. No really.

They play in yellow and black but they're not an official works club like Vosper Thorneycroft FC in Southampton for instance.

I don't know to what extent Vauxhall Motors at Ellesmere Port still qualify as that. You see it more often in cricket - with lots of clubs a legacy of that era.

In Germany Bayer Leverkusen are probably the most famous factory team, Carl Zeiss Jena are up there as well. RB Leipzig are an ugly, ugly little club though. Bought up SSV Markranstadt, rebranded and moved up the leagues. Luckily Markranstadt have reformed.

Yeah - I'm not sure being bought outright by a major international conglomerate is remotely the same as starting life as a genuine works team. Internationally I suppose the most famous one of all would probably be the Green Bay Packers. What about the relationship between VW and Wolfsberg? More like Leverkusen or Leipzig would you say?

Oh more like Leverkusen, they're not seen as remotely similar to RB.

On a slightly different note - how many grounds have people seen Rovers play at? eg Watching Rovers at the Old and New Den counts as 2. Watching Rovers play Palace, Wimbledon and Charlton at Selhurst Park counts as 1. I'm sure I'll get 'hammered' (I saw the Gas get relegated in '94 at the Bolyne Ground)... but I reckon I'm up to 59.

Can you count reserve matches?

Good question. My 59 are all first team fixtures - but do include pre-season friendlies (Sutton Utd and FGR at the Lawns). The rest are all league/play-offs/FA Cup/League Cup.

My rule is it must be a competitive first team match. So JPT counted up until this season, friendlies don't. But there's no reason anyone else should want to play by my rules.

Similar with the 92, everyone has their own rules. I count friendlies but I know many don't, one bloke didn't count 0-0's because he's a f**king idiot.

I've not actually collated my numbers for a while. A bit humbling - I thought my numbers would be a bit better than this by now, I'm definitely slowing down.....I have watched Rovers at 48 different grounds (will easily break the 50 mark this year) and have been to a further 13 grounds not watching Rovers (down as far Conference South - I've been to a fair few below that level as well).

I'm on 253 overall, I'll find out how many Rovers in a bit. I'd assume it'll be around 70-80.

I'm on 31 grounds total watching Rovers, with a bunch of other non league grounds watching other teams. Also done Reading twice watching Norwich and Leicester.

As a sidenote, Norwich are probably the league club I've seen at the most other grounds, especially if you include reserve matches, as I've seen them play at Huish Park (when we played them there in a pre-season friendly for some reason), Lodge Road, Yate (for a Rovers reserve match), once at the Mem, once at the Madejski, and a couple of times at Carrow Road following Rovers.
