You might get to see ex-lonee Sam Oji line out for Galway! Both friendly clubs, Sligo even covered us in a match day programme around 2 years ago when they were doing a feature on other 'Rovers' around the leagues I saw Sligo play at Bohemians earlier in the season, I wasn't fond of their nickname! If anyone listens to the World Football Phone in Show then Sligo Rovers are currently getting some excellent regular free advertising!

So that's 2015-2016 done, 7 countries, 103 games, 318 goals and 40 new grounds. Euro 2016 was a great way to finish, the five games were all brilliant in their own way if not for the football. The new stadium in Lyon is outstanding, as is Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in Saint-Etienne. Stade de France although impressive can let the atmosphere escape and the Parc Des Princes is a wonderful piece of brutalist architecture. Bring on the women's Euros next summer and the World Cup after that!

First game of 2016-17 on Wednesday night, heading to Cirencester for Ciren against Partick Thistle. So that's a grand total of 10 days without a match.

Annual silly pre-season trip booked, going to Ipswich vs Union St Gilloise on the 30th of July. Train was only £24 and tickets a tenner, a cheap tick.

My 2016/17 starts on Sunday at Raleigh Grove in Dorset, home of Sherborne Town where I shall be watching Yeovil Ladies vs Notts County ladies in a FA WSL Cup clash.

Nice timid start to the season, only been to seven games thus far. That's shambolic for me.

Just dropped £80 on a Wales tournament ticket, 6 home qualifiers for £80 is so, so cheap.

Tonight I did Cadbury Heath against Hanham in the Fry's Cup at the new Fry's Ground so that's a new one. Then Ipswich next weekend is another tick. Hopefully doing Glentoran this season as well as one or two other foreign trips. Potentially a day trip to Lille or Lens to get a tick.

Celtic v Barcelona yesterday, had the famous quarters on!! Tuesday Dundalk v BATE in the Champions League The Aviva is fantastic, one of my favourite new build stadiums. Yet to do Dundalk but I've heard good things. Went to Ipswich yesterday which, is a fantastic ground that oozes history. Was a good game with Belgians Union SG winning 2-1. We went in the away end which added to the atmosphere as the over 100 Belgians were bloody brilliant. Off to Rhodes at the end of August so hopefully either picking up Rodos FC or Diagoras (both play in the same ground at regional level).

Plenty of character with Dundalk, but they play on an artificial pitch. Nice bar in the main stand as well, locals always very welcoming

Definitely doing Galway & Sligo when I am over in September. My wife wants to visit Giants Causeway during our stay, so I may try and coincide that with a trip to one of the teams in the north

They beat Bate and are now only 2 games away from qualifying for the Champions League! Admitedly they will probably get comfortably beaten by Legia Warsaw but stranger things have happened and how extraordinary would that be?!

It's a massive story, especially considering the size of the LOI. Unfortunately, the Irish don't back the LOI enough. Celtic vs Barcelona sells out the Aviva Stadium and Dundalk only get 4,645 for the biggest game in their history 100 miles away from their ground. If they do beat Legia (God, I hope they do Legia are a f**king dreadful club) it'll be the biggest achievement in Irish Footballs history.

Tickets on sale from only €10 for adults and €5 for kids, so hopefully the game will generate close to a sell-out. I am sure I mentioned this before, but there is a Rovers connection with Liam Burns on the Dundalk coaching staff

I was at Old Trafford on Friday, so took the opportunity to tick off Solihull Moors on the way home. Solihull beat Guiseley in a 3-2 thriller, I really enjoyed it. I quite miss conference football
