It seems that some clubs maximise their takings by making everything pay on the day for a large away following.
The tickets at Welling were hilarious as they resembled a raffle ticket!
Maybe the Woking outlook is to deal with the formalities closer the time. Allocate areas depending on anticipated numbers, then have a contingency plan on the day. Any specific requirements like disabled access, or seating priority they've made themselves available for direct contact to make arrangements. It's ideal for them, really.
It's one of the more refreshing aspects of visiting away games in this division. Everything seems so laid back.

Not sure how they'd make more room for us though. All of the other 3 stands are for home fans and they can't just suddenly evacuate them all if our end gets full

We were in the stand at Nuneaton on Sunday. Originally we had the first tier. Eventually, they let everyone sit where they wanted. We were sat with their season ticket holders, but in truth we overwhelmed the home support. There were no police in our end. There may have been only one or two stewards.
Similarly, at Braintree. I was stood next to a home fan.
All the alleged trouble makers we are meant to be, as yet we haven't been met with the angst or hostility like in previous seasons.
There will be a contingency, it'll be consulted with police, but I hope the goodwill and relaxed attitude continues.

As far as we are aware we're only getting the side terrace and a few seats behind the goal. Woking actually have fans unlike Braintree and nuneaton too

Woking's ground holds 6000, they average 1800 , if the worst comes to the worst Rovers fans will just go in the home areas im sure with no bother. The game that could be an issue is Dover away if we need a win there to go up/stay in it the away end hols 2k (wont be enough) and the whole ground only holds 5500

Well my point was a partial level of unsegregated supporters seems tolerable at this level.
For recent derby Woking v Shots, away support was 750 in crowd of 3550. I'm confident we'll at least match this away number, so anticipate we'll be accommodated in a similar way.

yep, could be quite a few going.
we had 1255 (?) at shots and it's a very similar distance/journey.
not had a game for 2 weeks. In a rich vein of form.
Has all the signs of a good awayday.
I'm sure Woking will sort something out. They aren't daft. They do have a tidy ground and a decent amount of supporters, but I don't see why a crowd of, say, 3,400 should be a big issue.

Feb and March seems fine as quite a few are very long distances, but Kiddie and Dover could be interesting! 1,500 away end at Kiddie, and although Dover is a surprisingly long way (200 miles! almost same as halifax) and terrace is 2,000, we may need a result and it could be a massivematch for us. BTW, didn't realise we have the largest capacity ground in the Lge. Only about 5 grounds could even regularly take our home crowds!

It's such a breath of fresh air, and despite a few problems (mainly aimed at an under-performing team), we have hopefully made some much needed friends this season. oh and I just read that Dartford are offering hospitality for £30 (inc VAT... always annoying when clubs give a price and then ADD VAT). How quaint. Although I agree that Woking will have to sort something out as it will be stupid if (say) 3,300 fans have trouble getting into a 6,000 stadium, the Shots analogy isn't fair really. 750 away fans didn;t cause a problem as there is a segregated terrace that holds 1,000. If (say) 1,300 gas turn up then something rarely encountered will have to be done, and sharpish.

I'm sure gateshead and Halifax' ground holds more.. not on their guide they don't. Gateshead is 11,800 and Shay is 10,561. And before anyone says that the Mem can't reach full capacity due to segregation, then surely that could be said for many grounds, possibly including Gateshead's, and would be comparing apples to oranges.

Halifax can hold 14,000 if the terrace gets used

Gateshead's is an all seater athletics stadium and wouldn't lose anything through segregation.

Just phoned the Woking Club Shop.
We have been allocated 400 seats in a total away capacity of 1600.
We are not able to pre-book tickets, apparantly Woking offered this option to Rovers but they turned it down.
Its first come first served which may be interesting as I can see over 1500 turning up.
Recipe for big following: Two weeks since last game New Signings 2nd in Table Not to far to travel Proximity to London
