Rovers boss Darrell Clarke has made three changes to the starting 11 that drew 1-1 with Torquay United on New Years Day.
Lee Brown, Mark McChrystal and Jake Gosling return to the starting line-up with Tom Lockyer reverting to a more familiar right back spot.
Angelo Balanta has recovered from a hamstring injury which has kept him out of the squad since the Gateshead fixture to take a place among the substitutes.
