It's not handball. that slow mo replay is clear I'm afraid your incorrect beesknees I(along with about 30 other people )was perfectly positioned at ground level behind the goal and it was very definitely a handball and if you look at the sheepish reaction of the offenders tapping his head a couple of times its a dead giveaway as he would have been doing his nut and getting at the ref himself if he had headed it.If the bloke has any integrity he should come out and admit it,can't do anything about it now can they.

Ground level behind the goal is the worstposition to be to see if it came off the players head because his arm would be in the way of your view. Which is why the side on view is so important in this

Why is no-one quoting our manager who said his players told him it was NOT a penalty? (I know McChrystal claimed hands but that is what professionals do).

We are all missing the point about what a great effort the overhead/scissors kick was for the attempt in the first place

I'm as one eyed a Bristol Rovers supporter as you can get but the slow motion replay to me is as conclusive as you can get, the ref got his original decision to give a penalty wrong and then correctly gave a corner. I also was stood behind the goal and whilst I wasn't 100% per cent sure he hand balled it, it looked to me as if he probably did. Our players who were on the pitch in the goal mouth watching the ball also confirmed this afterwards that he didn't hand ball it. We got the win and on the balance of play in my own one eyed Bristol Rovers opinion deserved it and Midlandsgas you're right, great skill from Nathan to produce the overhead kick. Look out Barnet, we're just beginning to 'hit our straps', UTG !
