Great work there.....Look at the ref, he saw it, but didn't have the balls to give it and was bullied by Barnet to check with lino, and lets face it the refs are terrible the linos are miles off the pace (just to contradict; gave our goal)
he did give it though.... then changed his mind... thats what i cant understand, he had a great view gave the pen then let Barnet put doubt in his mind, total bottle job as he knew that it meant ten men for Barnet and 2 down so game over

I've seen that Lino referee loads of Southern League games and he is consistently s**t. How on earth he's at this level is beyond me. The Barnet player should have a one match ban after this and the linesman a lot longer.

Yes it was 100% a handball.Three of us were stood about 2 yards past the left hand post and right on the front barrier so about 12 yards away and all of us went berserk when the Lino gave it as a corner, defenders hand clearly went up and why the ref took the word of the linesman who was 30+ yards away when he was 5 yards away I will never know.Thought we did brilliantly to forget the injustice and just for once it worked out for us in the end.The left back was caught out so many times because the 2 Barnet centre backe were both battling Blissett in the air at times and he didn't know wether to stay on LDV or cover Matt Taylor and ended up doing neither most of the time. Some will call it a great move to sub that full back but I think Allen made a massive mistake starting with him as the replacement was much quicker and read the game a lot better as well. They looked like they had no idea about LVD's pace and ability so their scouting of us was poor.Vital we hang on to him as long as possible the kids a diamond in this division.

What makes it even more annoying is that you can see from the video that the ref had a clear line of sight and a decent angle. Still, he'll be back refereeing on the Downs this weekend. IMO the ref initially gave the pen, it was a blatant case of bottling, would not be surprised if our second was given over the line without any consultation to even it up !

That was my impression too. I thought he was pointing to the spot and reaching for his book before being convinced by Barnet to talk to the linesman. Whatever, it is clearly a wrong decision and one that could have cost us the game.

Whatever, it is clearly a wrong decision and one that could have cost us the game. It would be nice to think that the ref, linesman and powers that be, get to see the replay clearly But, on a positive, I think it was the best performance in the first half that I have seen from us in years, the football was fluid, confidence and at pace, Sinclair and Mansell never let them settle in the middle, a joy to watch. Barnet were chasing shadows for large parts of the first half and looked like a decent side being ripped apart. The thing nobody appears to have mentioned is the playing surface, I doubt we could have played that quality of football last night with that rain if the egg chasers were still ripping it up ! Surely it can only be a matter of time before someone takes a right spanking off us

I honestly think last night could have been the spanking if it wasn't for Stevie & Ray.

Who cares, we won. Well done Gas. Impressive stats on Beeb site. possesion was against us 47-53%........but it's goals that count shows what a crap stat possession is, they got ball in our half we pushed them back and eventually their keeper ended up with the ball, dont mind opponents having plnty of the ball when they are going across back line or backwards

Im sure you didnt mean it as negative as I am making out just frustrates me there will be people looking for faults in tonight. Even the Matty Taylor bashers havent got an angle..... My bet is it will be nick higgs after not announcing the rumoured good news on the stadium. Don't want to be pedantic but, it was actually 6%

If we had 3% more possession they'd have had 3% less and overall posession would have been 50:50 - so while the difference is 6% the swing is 3%. That seems right to me as we don't play the game on our own we play it in relation to the other team. If they have more posession we must have less. Point is that difference in posession is pretty tight and probably well within the margin of error for those making the judgement.

Big mention to Mark McCrystal last night. I thought he was immense. Yes he sliced a few out of play but he won everything and defended superbly. There was one last ditch tackle against Akinde (who he had in his pocket) that was as good as scoring a goal. Well done big man. Thought the skipper was MoM - immense job on a very robust striker!

What's that about the traffic? Was the team bus late arriving, or something?

A couple of points firstly how did the officials miss the most blatant hand ball since Alex Munro caught the ball in the box, secongly from the pictures i have seen who scored was it Balanta,McCrystal, they both went up yogether and the video is inconclusive or did they both miss it and it went in direct from the corner and thirdly Dc has 25 hours to extend Delle Verde,s loan, come on DC get your skates on this kid can be the difference between play offs and title
