Racism?

Let me firstly make the point that this is a bit of guesswork, as I didn't hear/see anything myself.
Obviously the Dartford goalkeeper got pretty upset over an incident in the second half, resulting of a fan being ejected from the Blackthorn End.
I'm guessing that nothing was thrown, as it would have been picked up, and shown to an official.
So the only other conclusion that I can come up with is that Brown was the victim of racist abuse.
Let me be the first to say that there is no place for racist abuse of any kind at BRFC, and anyone involved should be ashamed of themselves, if this is indeed the case.
Can anyone clarify the incident?

Yawn
I can't help but feel that the worlds gone a bit mad. You can shout, swear, call some ugly/fat/welsh or french this or that. Yet one person in a crowd shouts a word and the GK stops the match to whine to the referee.
Yes, there is no place for it, but doesn't it all get a bit out of proportion? It's hardly the days of Rosa Parks, or national front outside of stadiums and bananas on the pitch.

Isn't one person shouting one too many? The more we accept it, the less is going to happen to deal with the problem?

He's has just tweeted four tweets about it.
Jason Brown @j_browny32 Just played against Bristol rovers and was racially abused by someone who was standing next to a steward who chose not to do anything!
I reported it to the ref and pointed at the person who was doing it and surprise surprise no done anything!
Jason Brown @j_browny32 The supporter was not ejected he was allowed to walk out like nothing happened
Jason Brown
@j_browny32
I ask any Bristol rovers fan that know this idiot and the steward please go and report him don't let him bring down your fantastic club

Shame Neil Trotman wasn't within earshot.
How I'd love to see the big man pick up the scumbag & slam his face into the concrete.

about self hating liberals with cowardly views. What a ridiculous ad hominem. You're the coward; you're self-hating. See what this does to the level of debate?

Just hope we don't get fined. His tweet has gotten over 300 retweets now. If it did happen the fan should be banned obviously but any repercussions for the club overall would be ridiculous.

No one should be judged by their colour......having said that, it was a horrendous pink I wouldn't be seen dead in.

Here we go again. Someone who wants a bit of attention but this time with a bloody Yeovil fan fuelling the flames. I give in.

What a ridiculous ad hominem. You're the coward; you're self-hating. See what this does to the level of debate? You don't like it because it's true. Go visit Rotherham if you want to stop real racism. Again, cowardly liberals haven't the balls and would rather pick on lone football fans. rotherham is a disgusting failure by authorities to act in a proper manner but that dosnt excuse a "fan" from racially abusing a goalkeeper surely?

its all a bit sad because the keeper involved was enjoying the good natured stick he was getting and smiling at the crowd who then applauded him

Unfortunately, I fear it's attitudes like this that mean that nothing will ever get sorted. Isn't one person shouting one too many? The more we accept it, the less is going to happen to deal with the problem? The problem is primarily fiction. The day a ginger keeper can eject people for racism is the day I'll buy its about equality and not about self hating liberals with cowardly views. People need to grow up, its just words. If your arguing for arresting folk for words, please piss off to Nazi Germany or soviet east Germany where you belong. Authoritarians are authoritarians whether it's Jews, black people or white people having their feeling specially protected by law. Unfortunately the media have a grip on this and have pulled in the "punish him severely" mob on a different side. It's ironic that the anti racists are even more despotic and nasty than racists these days. Enjoy your pious feeling of righteous anger. Racism is a fiction? I'm ginger and I was stood at AFC Wimbledon last season as the linesman got untold amounts of flak and abuse based on his hair colour. I didn't care much. Why? Because now and historically political and systemic prejudice toward gingers doesn't exist. it doesn't define my history (my skin colour does) or my chances of success in life. If racism was expressed toward a black linesman I would have had to respond or leave the ground. It looks like a black player has come to Rovers and had his race called out as a reason for abuse by a member of our crowd. TBH I'd rather we lost than hear that. See it's not just words - it a reflects a deeper attitude and hate and that's why players respond in that way. Or should they just take it like they were told to in the 80s?

I only linked the tweets, saves everyone else doing it. If I'd brought the subject up, then yes maybe but seeing as one of your own did, my contribution isn't inflammatory. Stop being so touchy.
