Although home support is still pretty good for the Conference, Rovers' home average so far this season is down about 10% on last season (5736 vs 6421).
For those on here that have chosen not to go this season, what would make you return?
Here's a couple of thoughts:
We're playing more attractive attacking football this season
We are much more likely to win at home
The pasties were crap at the start of the season, but have improved in my opinion
The opposition is as well known as many of the teams we've been playing in the Football League (Grimsby, Lincoln, Wrexham, Barnet, Chester, Aldershot, Kidderminster, Torquay etc.)

Yeah, although it's a complete s**tter to be non league, I've enjoyed the games more, so far.

On balance I liked my chicken pie, but it was very, very, dry.
I'm still, to be honest, quite depressed about being in the Conference. I know this because i can't bear to think about anything rovers related that happened before August of this year.
But, everything the first poster says is true (with the exception of a minor administrative matter concerning the chicken pies, see above) and I am starting to enjoy going again, now the team is starting to settle into shape.

However, Dave Rogers came up with some interesting stats in the Nuneaton programme: - In our 9 years in the 4th tier, the lowest home average was 5,476, which came in our play-off promotion season in 2006/07. - The lowest average prior to that was in the season which featured our previous appearance in the play-off final in 1994/95. - in the relegation last season we had a bigger average home attendance than in when we won the Third Division Championship in 1989/90. |

Me personally I have been a season ticket holder for 7 seasons and this year I did'nt get one.
Pretty skint at the mo for saving for a wedding and on match day I weigh up the £20 hit and look at it as a bit of a gamble whether I am gonna return from the game in a good mood or pissed off. Recently its been more the latter so I have been put off. Looking to come to some games soon though

Prior to this year, I had a season ticket for 3 years. I didn't get one this year basically because I didn't feel like committing to watching us in the conference. It's too depressing. I'll go to the odd evening game (1 so far) but that's about it.
Even if we win the league I'll still not see it as a success.
That said, I did enjoy the game I went to see and I hope we can bounce back up and build on that. But off the field, it looks like little has changed and I cannot see how we will ever progress back to our former status of being an established league 1 side with occasional forays into the championship without a change of ethos and direction at the club.

I suppose that I'd argue that even in the promotion season, we only came on a late run having had a pretty mediocre time of things. It is so long since we had a season of sustained success, that it is difficult to judge the impact on crowds that one might have. |

I've been a season ticket holder for about 12 years, but not this year, I just couldn't bring myself to watch a full season in non-league. I've lived in Telford, I've worked in Nuneaton, they're small towns where the local football club seems irrelevant and I just can't face games against these kinds of clubs. I haven't been since the opening day against Grimsby.
