What about Chinese New Year? Should we ban that celebration? Slight difference between Chinese New Year celebrations and celebrating a country's independence. London Chinese New Year celebrations are the biggest outside of Asia where hundreds of thousands come to celebrate in London, are generally done on a Sunday and roads reopened the same day. Ah, that's alright then. Diwali, perhaps?

Oh That explains a lot "While both liberals and conservatives show some awareness of their ability to judge the accuracy of political information, conservatives exhibit a notable weakness when faced with information that contradicts their political beliefs. In other words, when confronted with news that goes against their political views, conservatives’ confidence in their judgments does not align well with their actual accuracy. This mismatch, or “metacognitive inefficiency,” suggests that conservatives are less aware of when they are wrong when the information contradicts their ideological commitments." www.psypost.org/conservatives-exhibit-greater-metacognitive-inefficiency-study-finds/🤭

David Lammy says the resumed Israel Palestine peace talks could define the future of the Middle East.
I can't say I have any faith in the man.

Trains on strike AGAIN.
Looks like Labour have lost control over the Unions. "Sir Keir Starmer was last night accused of losing control of the unions as rail barons announced new strikes just 48 hours after being offered a bumper pay rise. Critics said Labour's 'paymasters' were 'running rings around' the Prime Minister, ahead of another three months of crippling walkouts by train drivers. The militant Aslef union said its members will take action for 22 days – every weekend from August 31 to November 10 – on the East Coast Mainline, connecting London to Edinburgh."

Another hang over of long unresolved issuea

Fortunately then, it's not him holding the negotiations. Not sure what this has to do with the Labour Party Or our country. The British helped set up Israel.... And had control over the area after the fall of the Ottoman Empire and until the establishment of Israel & Palestine under the United Nations partition plan in 1948. That's why we are involved, and until recently the UK was still considered a country of influence.

So you both think that the performance of the Labour government has been 'not bad' in the first six weeks, and your main area of concern is where Nigel Farage is? Sorry Oldie, but was the scrapping of the Winter Fuel Allowance an 'unresolved issue'? Can't believe you two support that policy. You both support the cancelling of the 'New Hospitals' project? You both support the cancelling of the Social Care Bill, that would have capped the amount families pay for Care? You both support VAT being put on Private School Fees, despite it not being economically useful but the politics of spite, jealousy and envy. So are you both agreeing that VAT should be paid on University Fees? What is the difference between a Private Education and University Education? and your main concern is where Farage is? Putting words in my posts, Nobby, that's unbecoming of you. My comment about the unresolved issue related to the rail dispute. Can you show me where I included all the above in my comment? Criticise me all you like, but at least do me the courtesy of not putting words into my comments which are not there.

It appears the white nationalist zombies have infiltrated us.

The sentencing, for protesters against mass illegal and legal immigration has been curiously harsh.
Unjustly harsh.
Labour are hoping to shut down the anti mass immigration voice. They've seen the recent poll that shows Reform surging upwards. This, despite the Labour Government and MSM attempt to demonise our working class people and anyone else that is sick to death of this invasion and a religion, still anchored in its barbaric and anti British 7th century past.
Labour are scared of the Reform Party.

How much income does a pensioner have to be getting before they no longer qualify for the winter fuel subsidy ? £12,000 ? when you think that a train driver will get over £60,000 it seems that Labour dont like pensioners very much...maybe they hope that it will be a cold winter and that many pensioners will die thus freeing up houses ?
