Maguire will go to the Euros. Southgate trusts him but that doesn’t stop him being poor. I saw him at AFCB and it was almost comical at corners watching turn around and wonder what was going on. He had not a clue and was outthought and out-played by Dom Solanki, who won’t go to the Euros. If you don’t take Maguire who do you take. Last week at AFCB Dunk was almost as bad. Too slow and likely to meet far better forwards when we play the better teams. Despite the season Everton have had James Tarkowsky has had a decent season and I hope he goes.
I don’t like Maguire but I kind of like Southgate’s loyalty and Maguire plays better for England than he does for Manchester U. But then most players do.
As for Rashford of course he’ll go. He’s a very good player and is a great option from the bench or starting.

I would leave Pickford at home, he's just an old-fashioned hoof ball merchant imo. Good enough for Everton but no higher than that. Rashford is classes above Ten Hag's hop, jump and fall flat on your face merchants. Seeing how well Sancho is playing again on his return to Dortmund, I think Rashford should get out of there double quick and progress his career at one of Europe's elite clubs that know how to get the best out of him. Maguire should be nowhere near an England team. There's always an accident waiting to happen there. What makes you so convinced it is Ten Hag? He's had 2 good seasons, 1 of which was last season under ETH. He's an average footballer, I'm not sure I've know many players more overrated than Rashford. If you had to choose a place in the squad between Rashford and Gordon right now, are you seriously taking Rashford? Danny Welbeck has a better goalscoring record than him internationally. |

I’m off to the euros next month, ten of us making the short hop, mainly Rovers fans with a couple from the other mob. Getting tickets for the matches has been really tough, four of us have managed to get a ticket for England whilst the remainder have had to settle for Italy v Albania, we are just over for one long weekend. Should still be a good experience though as Germany is a great place for a weekend break. Ticket prices were nuts though, football fans eh ?

Germany is my favourite place as I lived and worked there for nigh on 4 years. I love going back if even for a day or two |

They've discussed this quite a lot on Talksport. The talk there was who to take from Watkins or Toney, yet to me the answer is obvious. Take both and leave out Rashford. Rashford has no form, no fitness, his mental state must be called into question. A bloke who goes out on the lash in Northern Ireland on the Thursday and then misses Friday training, with an FA Cup tie on the Sunday, shows total disrespect to his team mates, his manager, his club and the fans. He shouldn't be anywhere near the England squad.
For a surprise pick I'd go for either Michael Olize or Eberechi Eze from Palace, that is if Olize wants to play for England. Eze is already an England International.
