I think you will find news re Klopp will emerge, I don’t know when but I noticed several signs in his facial movements, walking and speech, so much so that I write to LFC. Billy Connolly only found out he has Parkinson’s due to a viewer writing in. I felt an urge to do the same. I believe his is ill. We shall see, hope I am totally wrong You may be right but by his own admission, Klopp was spent. He is very high intensity and I think this has drained him. Seeing the disrespect he was shown by Salah made my blood absolutely boil. If I was LFC's next manager, I would put the Egyptian on the next flight to the Saudi league. LFC should cash in on Salah now and buy 3 or 4 players with the funds...

More sh8te.. get out of it Southgate..let them play, get the shackles off you boring twat There is something wrong somewhere, either 1. Southgate is not capable of getting the best out of these players. 2. The players don't give a s**t. 3. The English psychology is such they can't deal with tournament pressure. I'd say all three and unless you fix 2 and 3 getting rid of Southgate won't improve things.

They ruin what could be a good thread. Do you know what really ruins what could be a good thread?

I thought England were a bit better tonight.A couple of good one touch moves eg.
Looked busier on and off ball and passed the ball with a bit more intent and quicker tempo.
It was better than the Serbian game.

But just look at the rather stagnant Stones my pet snail could overtake his pace, just not enough " vision" to get the ball ( without the player hanging on to it) to someone in space, just too pedestrian, Slovenia just loved it, hardly had to break sweat..look at their end of game celebrations....then England's

Slovenia are the smallest country in the tournament and have, until now, never made it to the Euros knockout stages.
Well done England for playing your part in their historic achievement.

The one touch disallowed goal sliced through the Slovenian defence. Etc. A step in the right direction.

Let's not forget.Lukaku of Belgium has had more goals disallowed in this tournament than England have scored!! ⚽⚽⚽🤭

It was better than the Serbian game.Damned by faint praise. I agree they looked a little bit better without the ball. But the press was never with enough intensity to get the ball back in a dangerous position. They are bloody awful to watch. Kane played the full 90 minutes. Apparently. An anonymous figure throughout. Southgate needs sacking (yes, I know it's not going to happen). Kane needs dropping. My review, it was pooh.

Just what is the point of bringing on the lad Gordon with 2 minutes to go., platitudes to the press, "well we did make changes" says Southgate FA need to make ONE after this tournament wether he wins ( 😂😂😂🤭🤭🤭) it or otherwise..there are some 30,000 supporters there, paying £100;00 and more for a ticket, and they are getting thoroughly peed off,Son in law did first two games, there was fighting amongst their own .... arguing about Southgate during and after the Denmark game.... something needs to change

Tuesday 25th June 2024 - UEFA European Championship - Group Stage - Group C
England 0 Slovenia 0
Report by Phil McNulty, Chief football writer in CologneEngland moved into Euro 2024's last 16 at the top of Group C - but it was only achieved after another drab display with a draw against Slovenia in Cologne. Gareth Southgate's side offered up slightly more than in the abysmal performance against Denmark but once again it was nowhere good enough to justify England's status as pre-tournament favourites. They were laboured and only showed quality in flashes, namely in the first half when a slick passing move ended with Bukayo Saka's goal being ruled out for offside. For the second game in a row, England felt real hostility from supporters who backed them magnificently during the game but made their feelings clear after the final whistle. After boos at the break, supporters let Southgate know what they thought when he went to applaud them at the end, with a couple of empty drinks cups aimed his way from the stands. Conor Gallagher failed to justify his inclusion and was replaced at half-time, with the introduction of Manchester United teenager Kobbie Mainoo providing more urgency after the break. England were also short on creativity in a group where no team scored more than one goal in a game for the first time in the competition's history. Denmark's 0-0 draw with Serbia means they finish second and Slovenia qualify as one of the best third-placed teams. It was a good night in other respects for England, with results elsewhere meaning the dangerous quartet of France, Spain, Germany and Portugal have dropped into the other side of the draw. England's last-16 opponents are currently the Netherlands - but that could change after the final round of matches. ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/6/25/5a7b1d20-759e-450e-a0a5-a24c74663b93.jpgEngland captain Harry Kane, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "It was a difficult night but I think it was our best performance out of the three. We had more energy, we pressed better, counter pressed better, did better with the ball. We just lacked a big of magic in the final third but that will come. Another clean sheet which we will need if we are to go far in the tournament. We enjoy it and move on." On tentative start: "All three performances have started in their own ways. Serbia we started well, Denmark we didn't start so well, today we didn't start great but we grew into the game. We started to create more as the game went on and the subs made a real difference, they brought a lot of energy. We just couldn't find that final finish." More from England captain Harry Kane, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: If you look at previous tournaments we have played our best football in the knockout rounds. Last Euros against Germany, Ukraine and Denmark, so for sure there is more to come. Always the objective is to get through the group without any mishaps. We can improve, we know that, but you have to enjoy these moments when you finish top." Last 16 opponents: "It is going to be difficult no matter who we play. Looking across the groups there have been some tough battles, there are no easy games now in these competitions. The important part of the tournament starts now, where it all counts and hopefully we can build some momentum."

Tuesday 25th June 2024 - UEFA European Championship - Group Stage - Group C
Denmark 0 Serbia 0
Report by Emma Sanders BBC Sport journalist at Allianz Arena Denmark finished second in Group C by virtue of having a better disciplinary record than Slovenia after a dull draw with Serbia. Neither side produced a performance that reflected their potential, but Denmark were the better team in a forgettable encounter in Munich. Denmark ended on an identical record to Slovenia, meaning they had to be separated by the amount of yellow cards they received. Both sides picked up six yellow cards on the pitch, but Slovenian coach Novakovic Milivoje was also booked in the first game, which Uefa do not count on their disciplinary statistics page, and that ultimately gave Denmark the slimmest of edges. While Denmark and Slovenia both go through, Serbia are out - although none of the three teams won a group game. Jonas Wind had a goal disallowed for Denmark in the first half because the ball had gone out of play before he bundled it over the line from a corner. Denmark continued to create chances despite a poor display by their standards. Alexander Bah headed wide and Christian Eriksen's shot had to be parried behind for a corner. Knowing their place in the last 16 was secure with a draw, a pragmatic Denmark side lacked ruthlessness. Jannik Vestergaard headed a corner delivery at Serbia goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic, but the Danes rarely tested him in the second half. As group runners-up, they have set up a tie with tournament hosts Germany in the next round.

Phil Foden 'temporarily' leaves England camp for family reasons..ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/6/25/135fbb5a-2c37-4258-920c-83f51b4decd0.jpgEngland midfielder Phil Foden has "temporarily" left the Three Lions' Euro 2024 camp in Germany and returned to the UK. In a statement the Football Association said the Manchester City player needed to go home because of a "pressing family matter". Foden, who has 37 caps, started all three of England's group games at the tournament so far, including Tuesday's draw with Slovenia.

Belgium remind me a bit of the England team. Hyped up to the stars but come up short when it matters.
No surprise to see the Romania vs Slovakia result, and I don't think many were surprised to see Italy get the eight minutes they needed the other night...
Calciopoli was pretty traumatic for me, as I used to greatly enjoy Football Italia (surprised years later to discover James Richardson is from Bristol). Looking back on games from the late 90s, early 00s, its pretty depressing to realise that a number of these games were effectively fixed and that, just to be on the safe side, the Juve team was allegedly doped up to the eyeballs.
However, this is Europe, and I'm told they do things differently over there...
