"I love the smell of exploding heads in the morning" πππ I thought you were of the view that Trump wasn't fit to be in office. I'm pretty sure you've said that or something similar. What's caused the turnaround?

Anyone think David Lammy will now be given the sack. How on earth can the foreign secretary of The UK, one of if not the closest ally of the US, represent the UK in America having referred to their President as a neo-Nazi sympathizing sociopath, a dangerous clown and a racist KKK and Nazi sympathizer.

Once again the polling companies have been made to look stupid, which is why I just laugh at people who believe the nonsense they pump out, even here in the UK. Three days ago one polling company was claiming that Harris was leading in Iowa. She got absolutely spanked there!
Sky have just come out with one incredible statistic. In the thousands of counties across the USA, Harris did not increase the Democratic vote share in a single one!

Lammy has been up all night frantically deleting social media posts. He should be removed from his post. Like it or not, we need to have a positive relationship with America.

Former President Donald Trump took the stage and declared victory in the early hours of Wednesday morning..by Dulcie Lee, Brandon Livesay and Sam Hancocki.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/11/06/07/91742661-14046357-image-a-53_1730879889840.jpgThere's a lot of people on stage with Donald Trump - including his running mate JD Vance, his wife Melania Trump and campaign staff. He describes it as a "political victory" and thanks the crowd for electing him as their 47th president, as well as their 45th. Remember, though, he's still four electoral college votes off so hasn't technically won the race yet. Trump says: "We're going to help our country heal." He vows to fix the borders, adding that he and his party made history for a reason. It's quite clearly being used as a victory speech by the Republican candidate. Trump goes on to say that this will be the "golden age" of America. "This is a magnificent victory for the American people, that will allow us to make America great again," he adds, using his campaign slogan and catchphrase. Trump's continuing to speak to a raucous crowd at his campaign HQ in Florida. He tells the crowd that he hopes, one day, they'll look back and consider this "one of the most important days of your life". "America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate," he goes on, referencing his party winning the Senate back from the Democratic Party. Trump thanks his wife Melania, calling her the First Lady. He praises her book, saying she has "the number one best seller in the country". "She's done a great job," he says, adding she "works very hard to help people". He also thanks his "amazing children," naming each of them as they stand on stage with him. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/11/06/07/91741585-14046357-image-a-32_1730878540154.jpgNext up, Trump congratulates the man he says will be the next vice-president of the US: JD Vance. Again, the Republicans haven't yet been announced the winners of this election, but are just four electoral college votes shy of that. Trump asks Vance - who the crowd are cheering for - to say a few words. Vance takes to the mic and describes Trump's campaign as the "greatest political comeback ever". Making light of the "heat" he says he took for choosing Vance a few months ago, Trump says Vance was the right choice. After some chants from the crowd, Trump starts speaking about someone who's become a major part of his campaign - X owner and the world's richest person Elon Musk. He describes Musk as a "new star" of the Republican Party, before going on to tell a lengthy story about how he once left the billionaire on hold for 40 minutes while he watched a video of a SpaceX rocket. Trump describes him as a "wonderful" guy. Trump just briefly mentioned the assassination attempt made on him in July, which he survived after a bullet grazed his ear at a campaign rally. He tells the crowd his life was "saved for a reason" - a suggestion that was made throughout his campaign. Trump says he'll bring "every ounce of spirit and fight" to the White House, and that being president is the "most important job in the world". He adds that he'll run his government on the motto: "Promises made, promises kept." And that's that - as is customary with Trump speeches, YMCA is played as he leaves the stage. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/11/06/07/91741317-14046357-image-a-34_1730878601555.jpg

Some lovely pics there BT. I'm not a fan of Trump. But on a lighter note, a Republican victory might lead to James O'Brien spontaneously combusting. Snowflakes in meltdown. I think I'd actually pay to see that Is LBC on a live stream? Saint James of O'Brien, the patron Saint of sanctimonious pri cks.

They deserve to lose because they are no longer fielding a candidate who was no longer fit for office, and his standing down was managed sensitively and successfully? Ok. Yeah, right.Β Like Julius Caesar`s standing down, was managed sensitively and successfully. Wonder how sensitively, Joe n Jill feel it was done. At about the same age, 16-17 I think, I went to Ashton Gate with City supporting mates from Knowle as well. The indiscretions of youth eh. Probably what happens is you don't live your between pre-prescribed tram lines. But perhaps explains your limited ability to debate a point.

Is Oldie back on the acid? He`s not going to be happy is he, Bas? He`ll get through a keyboard a week, for the next four years. More interested in the dynamics of this defeat. Nobby is spot on about the polls, how many times have they been so badly wrong now. I am guilty of listening to them as well over the years. Listened to a Democrat Congressman and strategist on R4 this morning and they agreed the democrats made a strategic mistake. It was not enough to just not be a moron, but their candidate had to offer a clear vision for the country. She did not. They did say however she was hamstrung by her current role in the Biden administration. One where the progress made, economically post pandemic has not filtered down to lower income groups, groups hardest hit by inflation. Where have we heard that before. A dark day for those who believe social liberalism and free markets. We now are to witness a leader of a party which has become totally illiberal and the leader himself who believes in simplistic economic nationalism. Batten down the hatches and ride it out. Democracy...who would have itπ€π

The majority of your posts, consist of insulting those who disagree with you. You`re doing it now. That`s not debating points. But talking about limited ability, what happened to your family`s cautious optimism that Harris would win Pennsylvania? Oh, dear! Can you please let me know who they`re cautiously optimistic will win next year`s boat race? I`ll make a fortune betting on the other.
