X has been part of the social media landscape since it's inception as Twitter. Journalists, both as individuals and the publications they work for have been posting their articles, or links to, since day one. I've understood that from day one,and I completely agree. However...if myself or indeed you, posted something on here that our different sides disagree with, sometimes what we could have shared would be classed as ..." oh something you saw on twitter" See the landscape of acceptance is a difficult one to balance today. I personally think everything on X is Fair game, and it's up to the reader to understand it's content, and indeed accept it or challenge it. Twitter is a conduit, it's the information and the source that needs to be examined. However, the algorithms do lead to recommendations from certain sources, made worse since Musk took control. That's not me saying that, but a right of centre journalist I cited the other day.

Or that you don't like the freedom of any right sided content?

I don't think people are bothered that it is right wing as that is taken for granted with Musk's backing of Trump reinstating him after he was banned from the pre-takeover of Twitter for lying. His bribing of the voters, his views on women and stating openly his support for Trump. A lot of people have moved platforms, including academics, and many are expected to leave now that he is limiting how you can block users who abuse individuals, which women have complained impacts mostly on them.

I agree Posting something on here which is just a link with no context (be that humour or a serious point being made) is open to the charge "just something on Twitter" It's like copy and paste from the Daily Mail without comment or context, the torrent of which we see everyday on this forum. Still, just a couple of weeks to go and this thread will be redundant and those of us who support democracy, freedom of expression and fundamental human rights may well be licking our wounds as I am coming to believe that Trump may just squeeze in. A disaster and hastens the decline of modern liberal values.

Just imagine how irritating and insulting it will be for white Trump voters,to be called fascist and racist by these Commie tosses from the UK.
What insufferable smugness.

I didnt get a labour campaigner here last time but in 2019 I did and I told him to eff off, if he had started rabbiting in an American accent I would probably of let the dogs out to play.
